Concerning Widget Files
I notice that only the hardest widget songs are being added to the game. Sure, that's less songs you have to scroll through, but isn't that being a bit unfair to newer players?

Re: Concerning Widget Files
In a way most people would agree but that's just them. I have really nothing to say except that if the newcomers just keep being persistent with the hard songs, they'll soon master them in no time.

Re: Concerning Widget Files
would be cool if all versions on a stepped song will be released - but in a Widgets genre that will not appear in the song/rank list.php

Most of the time the hardest versions aren't even that hard.

Re: Concerning Widget Files
as blu points out... many of the harder versions are still only a 4 or 5. well in the "Easy" and "newbie" range for our users.
plus, as has been pointed out many times.... very very few people want to play a 4 minute long song with 200 or less notes, as is the standard with the 1 files.

Re: Concerning Widget Files
yeah, [Heavy] has become sort of a misnomer for Rock songs. often times, they are Tricky or Difficult at most.
the hardest widget song i can think of is the All Shall Perish song that dore did. it was an 11 i think...? |

has anyone stepped their stuff? i'm pretty sure Drugstore got the permission...someone needs to hop on that. i expect some hard files for their songs because the nature of their music is very...melodically chaotic...i guess is the word. |

Re: Concerning Widget Files
I'd guess that most of the hardest versions will get put in the game eventually. Some maybe not...

Re: Concerning Widget Files
No, only adding hard songs is reasonable. Like Tass said, no one wants to play 4 minute long easy songs. Another thing is that you can't change speed mods in the widgets. Only the hard files really need that. If anyone really wants to play an easy song, then they can just go to the widget.

Re: Concerning Widget Files
Is there a list of all the widgets / a place to look at them all? I have no idea how many there are, even.

Re: Concerning Widget Files
yea. there should be a widget for every single artist in FFR. although not all of them have full gfx and only some are custom built, etc etc.
but even still... lot of custom built widgets, and more every day.

Re: Concerning Widget Files
the only annoying thing is that there aren't speed mods...is that being worked on? or is that just out-of-the-question impossible?

Re: Concerning Widget Files
it's been explained. widgets aren't ffr. they're to show ffr to the masses. as such, they are highly limited. you guys are spoiled. a year ago, there were no speed mods in ffr.
