Re: Speed Setting
Find what's comfortable for you. Usually you go up 0.5x from your previous speed mod to see if you can read it. I use x1.8x since 1.85x is a bit too fast for me.

Re: Speed Setting
If I move my speed mod up too high, Ill start hitting a lot of notes late. Test out different mods until you find what you are most comfortable with.
I started at x1 and then quickly moved up - 1.25 -> 1.5 -> 1.75 -> 1.8 -> 1.85 -> 1.9 Even though my default setting is 1.9 I pick 2.0 for fast stream songs like Rose or Blaze |

Re: Speed Setting
I play using x1.5 but I'm most likely going to move it up to .7 simply because of the closeness of the notes.

I'm currently at 2.0, up from about a week ago when I was 1.7.

Re: Speed Setting
1.925x now. Considering bumping a little bit myself.
What are you having trouble with, hitting perfects or trying to full combo?

Re: Speed Setting
I'm usually at 2x, sometimes 1.9 or 1.95 for songs with faster bpms, or even 2.15 sometimes.

Re: Speed Setting
1.75 - best speed
1.5x was too slow and 2x was too fast (talking about reading framers here, that is an essential part to AAA'ing certain files). Also 1.75 seems the best speed to PA things properly - a high speedmod can cause lag (from my experience)

^There are some people who play x1.0, but usually screen cut. It somehow makes it easier to read.

Déjà vu much? Is it me, or did you make a thread like this like a couple days ago? Haha, either way, I'm working with 1.85 right now and don't really see any reason to increase speed in the near future. I can read just about everything, the only problem is I can't react yet
Also, there are some pretty hilarious speed mod settings I'm seeing in this thread.

Re: Speed Setting
I used 1.75 for a loooong time. Then, when FFR died, I played a lot of SM and increased my speedmod a bit, and when FFR came back 1.75 was too slow, so I've been using 1.85 since then. My advice would be to just use whatever you're best at, although it's helpful on fast songs to move up to at least 1.5.

Not really but sometimes I play like that for fun. I actually enjoy the game since I'm not really playing for scores at that point. Anyway, 1.85-1.9, depending what computer I'm on. |

Re: Speed Setting
I usually use somewhere between 1.5 and 1.75. I change my speed with the difficulty of the song.
Just don't choose anything too fast or too slow. If it's too slow, all your arrows are going to be a conglomerated mess. If it's too fast, the arrows will be going too quick for you to react to them. |
