-very early sync. (approx. +.06) though this might be due to the timing mode of song timing vs step timing in sm5
I got "early sync" comments on all my files, even though I listened to them in sm with f4 on and made sure the sync was pretty much dead on. I also noticed when I download sm files, often the sync on them is late, so I have to adjust it to be earlier when I actually play the files. Is my sm messed up or something? lol

Have you tried going into DDReam and slowing down your song to say.. 30% or 50% speed and zooming in on the waveform?

Helps sync really nicely.

Have you checked your global offset? (as opposed to the individual offset of a song)

What do we do if our file is under the section "[Not Accepted, but getting resubmission right (best 10 non-accepted files)]"?

by "but getting resubmission right", does that mean we should send fixes ASAP?

No it means you can resubmit said file to the next batch without any submission cost.

(e.g: If your submission cap is 2 you can send a resubmission of said file plus two normal submissions.)

Yes. Global offset 0 should be used.

Oh weird, talk about confusing words. jimerax meant that those 10 files under that heading are eligible for resubmissions in the next batch. Resubmissions are files that can be sent again for another batch in addition to the normal limit of files you're allowed to submit per batch.

Up until now, anyone could have resubmitted any rejected song of theirs for the following batch. Now, in an attempt to reduce an overload of files for future batches, we're restricting resubmissions to the top 10 best "rejected" files.

Any rejected file that's -not- on the list would have to be treated as a normal submission if sent next time. In essence, it'll make the difference between submitting one more/less file.

Not true, required global offset varies from computer to computer. My global offset on my desktop needs to be like .15, it's terrible lol

So seeing as my file (remember 15 years ago) made it into the top 10 not accepted files, do i just send my fixes to jx and it gets queued or do i need to actually resubmit it for next batch :/

Alright, I'll submit that and the collabs that I've been working on with people next batch and then retire from stepping for a while. More hassle than it's worth.

Every time I use global offset that isn't zero, all files wind up being horrendously off. I've never had to use a global offset different from zero.
