Default Recent rhythm game website hackings

So if you guys remember stepmania.com being hacked, there's been a couple more cases from other (used to be) well known rhythm gaming/stepmania websites that have been hacked recently. Last week Bemanistyle was hacked, and a few days ago ZiV also suffered the same fate (but fortunately managed to bring everything back to normal again a day later, BMS, on the other hand, still have the Front page down).

Now Bemanistyle has been hacked once again. I don't know why they would continue to hack these websites, and if they're the only ones targeted (which is highly unlikely imo). If it's the latter though, what would they have against these sites, or stepmania in general? What kind of vendetta would they have to pursue against them?

I'm posting this in case of any possible further hackings from fellow rhythm gaming sites, especially something like FFR which could easily be a prime target for multiple reasons. I'm honestly surprised this site hasn't been attacked yet though, unless the site was already prepared and managed to avoid the attack already.

Well then, that is certainly odd...something to keep an eye on but why would they of all places? Unless its a 4chan raid from an angry banned member of the community or if they were bored. That's all I can think of...

I don't think it'd help to publicize the issue here. That might make FFR even more of a target. On the other hand, Velocity and co. are aware of this situation.

I was just hoping in case the situation wasn't already aware enough, and maybe prepare for it if it does happen. If it helps decrease the chances of the site being hacked you're free to lock/delete this thread.

its because rhythm games are dumb because its not the real thing

Guitar Hero is a complete disgrace to music, not only does it trivialize the masterful art of playing the guitar but also degrades it into a laughable blue-collar music form.

OH HEY GUISE I CAN PLAY DA RAI N IN BLOOD, L0oK AT ME ***** I CAN PRESS 5 BUTTONZ SUPER FAST BREW1!!!!!11!!!1

WELL CONGRATULATIONS!

Addtionally why not take the time you waste mastering your shitty "expert" level track and invest it into learning to play a REAL guitar?

Isn't that a double-edged argument?

I'm still surprised about the whole hackings going on. I won't look further into it for now, but it still seem to me that we're one of the few from the rhythm community that have reacted so far.

I HATE Guitar Hero (AKA Guitar Queero)and if you hate Guitar Hero (or Rock Band) then this is the place for you.

It doesn't matter what music you like as long as you don't like the game.

I find that kids spend way too much time practicing a game when they can practice the real deal and actually build a life around that instrument. Also guitar hero seems to take a lot of good songs and destroy them by advertising to mainstream kids who will then play the song over and over until you can't bear to listen to your favorite song anymore (ie. Hangar 18, The Trooper, One, etc...)
