Dream Theater or In Flames
I'm either going to step a bunch of Dream Theater songs or a bunch of In Flames songs. I can't decide which, so which one should I pick >_>?

Re: Dream Theater or In Flames
Isn't Dream Theater played by hand? Stepping those kind of songs is really hard to do, unless you know what you're doing (even then it's still really hard).

Re: Dream Theater or In Flames
Not electronic. Recorded from played instruments.
That stuff does not have a constant bpm so you'll need to adjust it a lot if you want to be on beat.

Re: Dream Theater or In Flames
More recent instrumental songs have a constant bpm. Older ones though do change a lot. I primarily make instrumental songs, and my older files are crap. But yeah, in my newer ones I've gotten used to having to adjust bpm's and patterns slightly.

Re: Dream Theater or In Flames
You'd be correct, 1st song on their second album.
Also, In Flames is horrible compared to Dream Theater, song wise I would be interested in A Change Of Seasons (entire version). That would be the single coolest thing ever if it was synced properly and had interesting steps. |

Re: Dream Theater or In Flames
i was actually thinking about collaborating with 1 or 2 other people and making a stepfile for either a change of seasons by dream theater or the divine wings of tragedy by symphony x. You read my mindz LOLOLO!!!11! >_>
would anyone be interested? |

Re: Dream Theater or In Flames
I'm not a big fan of through her eyes...if I were going to do something from Metropolis Pt II, it'd either be Overture 1928 or a short version of Beyond This Life.
ANy more dream theater song suggestions? |

Also, Wavanova: Some Symphony X would indeed be fun, Divine Wings of Tragedy is an awesome song. I have a file that Tear made, "Out of The Ashes". Also, if you need any songs I have most DT, LTE and SX albums haha. |

Re: Dream Theater or In Flames
Do you even have Danse Macabre? In which case you are indeed awesome musically.
Just go step something, I want to see if you can pull it off. |

Re: Dream Theater or In Flames
No, I generally figure out BPM through guitar tabs and playing guitar to the tabs to test its accuracy. Most of the songs I step are with instruments, so that works for most of them. In the event I step something else, I just put a huge line of 4th notes and turn assist tick on, and then adjust the BPM until they sound perfectly accurate.
