Default Tournament Requirements - Please Read

In the past, there have been a bunch of tournaments made that have been run poorly, abandoned, or just failed altogether. To try to stop this from happening, I am setting some basic requirements for tournament creators.
Before you create a tournament, you must:

-Have at least 100 posts (no postwhoring). This will ensure that you have been a part of the forums for enough time to understand them, and also that you know the community enough to be able to handle it. It's also a plus if you are known by most of the regulars of the forum. There may be some rare exceptions to this rule depending on the circumstances.

-Have a prize for the winner(s). If the prize will be credits, you must have enough credits on your own to give out a prize. Do not create a tournament and soley rely on donations to get you prize credits.

-Have been a member for at least 2 months on the site. This will ensure that newbies aren't making tournaments. This also stops banned members from making alts and creating tournaments.

-If your tournament requires a credit buy-in, you will be expected to not spend, transfer or use, in any way, the credits you have received for the tournament. Your transactions will be watched closely and bans and/or other disciplinary actions will be issued for any fraud or dishonest activity, as well as credits returned to their rightful owners. If we think you are doing something dishonest, we have the right to take action against you. NO exceptions.
* Only Veteran users may host a tournament with a buy-in. There may be exceptions to this if you receive permission from any administrator. *

It is recommended that you have participated in at least one other successful tournament so that you understand how they work and how they should be ran.

In addition, if anyone donates credits to a tournament that does not finish, PM me and I will reimburse you.

All tournament threads made are now going to need to be approved by me or any other forum staff that chooses to moderate them. When you make a tournament, your thread will not be visible until it is looked over by one of us and is approved.

Hopefully these regulations will help filter out the tournament subforum, leaving only the quality tournaments to be posted.
