Most Expensive Games/Systems You've Purchased
What was the most money you have spent on a game and/or system? Controllers, headsets, add-ons, and other accessories can count too.
Most I've spent on a new game is The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask at $150. The main reason I spent so much on a new factory sealed copy, is because I really wanted to have the original box with it, so I can display it on my shelf, (which I'm doing now) and since it's one of my favorite games ever, and I didn't like how the Gamecube version wasn't properly emulated. Most on a used game is Metroid Prime Trilogy at $70. This was one of those impulse buys where I thought, "If I don't buy this now, I will never see it again." So I bought it. I usually go the the media and game stores twice a week, and I have never seen it since. This was also way before I knew about Amazon, so I don't know if it's cheaper there, but I already have it so... Most I've paid for a new system is the Wii U at $350. I bought it the 1st day it came out. I didn't camp out or anything, I just called Gamestop, and Walmart which had 2 deluxe ones left, so I went there and got it. I got the deluxe one since it game with Nintendo Land (which is $60 by itself) and a bunch of accessories and more memory than the white one and it doesn't come with the game and some of the accessories and was $300. So I thought the deluxe was a good deal. I have actually never bought a used system before. I'm surprised I haven't, since I usually buy used games. Unless it's one that I really want of course, then I can't wait for a used copy. EDIT: If you're a PC gamer, then PCs can count too. I paid $400 for mine...

$60 dollars for Starcraft II. I've never bought a game system.
Edit: Unless you consider my PC a gaming system. In which case I spent around $1000. |

Yeah, PCs can count. Me personally, am not counting it since there only a small handful of PC games I actually play. I'm not much of a PC gamer.

Re: Most Expensive Games/Systems You've Purchased
i'm definitely a pc gamer but i like to be on budget (no crazy eyefinity setup + $8k pc build)
self assembled pc + sound system + accessories + monitors would probably put me at $2300 i think staiain has a $20k USD+ sound system setup, definitely the most dedicated/expensive

Re: Most Expensive Games/Systems You've Purchased
Most expensive new game would be Sonic Generations Collector's Edition at 250$ + shipping from Australia.
Most expensive used is Metroid Prime Trilogy for 70$ at Game Stop. The clerk was jealous. Most expensive new console would be my XBox 360 at 200$ and used would be my Wii at 100$. |

I paid 900 for the Ps3 when it first came out. Which was (believe it or not) a good deal at the time.

Re: Most Expensive Games/Systems You've Purchased
I dunno. My brother works at a media store, and if he wants to buy something, they have to hold the game for 1 week first before they put it out for sale. For customers and employees. I don't know if GameStop is the same way, but she said I got it the 1st day she put it out.

I love racing. I live and breathe it.
I own a Fanatec force-feedback racing wheel, pedals, stickshift, the whole thing. Put down a good $600 for it. And I play forza like a boss.

Re: Most Expensive Games/Systems You've Purchased
$2200ish on my laptop after tax and shipping, $1799.99 "actual price" (on sale).
I don't remember paying for a game over $59.99 - $69.99, but I do have the season pass for Black Ops 2, MW3 and Halo 4 (and technically Battlefield 3 since I got the premium edition), and all DLC for Halo 3, MW2, Left for Dead, and Trials Evolution... probably other games too. I'm guessing I spent a lot more than I actually think but I didn't really pay for my console, so that helps... (I still "won" it by raising money for an animal shelter by myself though).
