TWG: A discussion
Isn't this a little too controlling

Re: TWG: A discussion
like seriously, TWG is a game of communication - I should be able to post how I want, when I want. I do so knowing full well that it may annoy people. I know it might result in people not reading my posts.
So what |

Re: TWG: A discussion
To be honest, I'll have to agree with Manti on this one.
Senseless posts in a row are...just filler. They just makes the thread longer, and are generally a bother. Sure, the opinion can change from person to person, but yeah...I agree with Manti.

Re: TWG: A discussion
you can't force people to play the way you want them to. If they want to post fluff and filler text then they should be allowed to post fluff and filler text.

Re: TWG: A discussion
otherwise you're going to have a very stale game where everyone does the same things and it's boring and dull and not entertaining. Part of the problem here is that nobody tries to say "hey look you should probably take this seriously because it's a serious situation" when confronted with that in the game. Everyone assumes this should run like a debate club and that's NOT TRUE.

Re: TWG: A discussion
I agree with fiction in principle, but I agree with manti in that there should be a limit. other twg/mafia sites probably have rules for this.

Re: TWG: A discussion
I didn't have a problem with 3 posts or 4 posts or 5 posts.
9 is excessive and unnecessary. The whole reason TWG allows multi-posting in the first place (unlike the rest of the forums) is because the edit button is disabled. Just because the edit button is disabled for TWG games doesn't mean it should be taken advantage of. TWG isn't 1 mil get. Don't treat it like that.

Re: TWG: A discussion
There's a difference between 'let me do what I want' and 'please don't control the game.' This is especially true as a host where interference invariably affects reads.

Re: TWG: A discussion
In the end you're advocating for the ability to post 30-40 times in a row, without me saying "No don't do that." because it would be host interference.
No. I'm okay with poor posting, and I'm okay with multi-posting. I have problems when they're combined. There is a hardline between what is constructive/destructive to the game and what is just postcount++

Re: TWG: A discussion
gotta go with Manti here, I love you Pete, but I have no idea why you felt compelled to post 9 times in a row, without any real relation to the game in most of them.

Re: TWG: A discussion
The fact that you're triple/quadruple posting here to try and get your point across isn't actually helping your argument. Sure, this isn't English class, but god damn two posts could've contained those thoughts. Not 7.

Re: TWG: A discussion
the decision to NOT do that shouldn't come from the host - it should organically become a thing people care about. That's what TWG is.
