Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
Yes, I plan on splitting the scoreboard by C and x-mod usage on the leaderboard. (I should also add a separate scoreboard for m-Mod usage, no?)

Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
Went through the changelog and saw:
* C-Mods should only disqualify if the Min/Max BPM difference is greater than 3.00 BPM. Will our scores still record though? I'd like to be able to know whether or not I hit a personal record on a song. Also, where are all of the quick option key combos (selection mode, reset all mods, add ----- mod) at? I really want to get rid of any quick key combo aside from the song selection type. It annoys me when I accidentally push a couple keys in a certain order and reset all of my mods to default and have to quit out of the song then reapply them. |

Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
I could've sworn I got rid of every single code in CodeDetector that wasn't related to sorting/closing folders. I'll look over it for the next release.

Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
I still left SM5 Preview 4 installed so I could hop online with people. That wouldn't interfere with it and add in those codes, would it?

Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
it shouldn't. the only way I could see it happening is if you were using the StepMania 5 default theme in SM5TE...

Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
I tried it out, and I really do like it, however few things I think should be added:
BPM of the song (or lowest-highest bpm) to the speed section on mod screen A way to view the current BPM during the song as well those are pretty much the things I found that I didn't like/wanted/yeah Besides that I love the version, its really nice

Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
Yeah, in-game BPM meter is very helpful if you're trying to place the right Xmod/Mmod to use, cause otherwise you just have to guess at what speed it's at and hope you picked right. We don't need it right away, but it would be preferable to have it when in-game mod editing is finished.
What's the next big feature being worked on? Changelog can only tell me so much, and there's no schedule since something like this fluctuates too much to get one made. |

Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
Right now, I'm trying to get the in-game custom speed mod editor (machine profile version) working. That's the last thing that's been bothering me before I can consider releasing pre001.2.
(per-profile custom speed mod editing will happen in the version after that, among other things that I haven't figured out yet.) |

Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
Edit: if you downloaded this before 2012/06/02 19:57 (Central Daylight Time), please re-download; I forgot to include the Data folder, which will cause a crash since it looks for AI.ini on the gameplay screen.
StepMania 5 TE pre001.2 is now available. The machine speed mod editor has not been finished yet; sorry for the inconvenience. Changelog: Quote:

Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
Yay updates! Also, you're forgetting something ;3
"the target audience for this game uses C-Mods like they are candy. they will now stand for 'candy mods'. also they don't disqualify anymore." |

Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
I'll be honest, I rewrote that to be
"Final revision of Steps::HasSignificantTimingChanges(). C-Mods no longer disqualify on songs with BPM changes." but I still like the name Candy Mods. |

Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
Help, I'm crashing and I'm not really sure why! I started up a song, and when it went to loading, it just crashed. One line that stood out in the log was: 03:33.451: WHY THE **** DID YOU REMOVE 1X FROM THE MACHINE PROFILE'S SPEED MODS; IT NEEDS 1X THERE TO ****ING WORK YOU ASS-PILFERING PHILISTINE
But I went back and checked my speedmods file in the appdata path and it had 1x in there. Here's the crashlog; it's not letting me attach the other log, gonna try that again in a minute. |

Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
I guess I forgot to include AI.ini in the latest distribution. *smacks forehead*
if you have another StepMania install, you could try copying Data/AI.ini from it to SM5TE's Data/ dir. a fixed version has been uploaded. Last edited by aj187; 06-2-2012 at 07:58 PM.. |

Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
Alright, so the new life bar bugs me. I made some changes so when it fills it doesn't have that weird bit in the middle.
Also, it takes like 4x as long to go from score screen to menu screen. Part of it is my near 7k song count, but it didn't take anywhere near this long last version. I'm waiting about 15 seconds now. EDIT: Loading times have speeded up now. I guess it just needed to run it a few times. Last edited by TwistedPhoenix; 06-4-2012 at 12:32 AM.. |

Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
I figured that'd probably be somewhat difficult. But even just the drag & drop feature to add songs would be insanely good. or the very versatile multiplayer menu

Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
Something still disqualifies for some songs on Cmod.
1st is with Xmod, 2nd is with Cmod. And the song I chose has no BPM changes (as far as I know) |

Re: StepMania 5 Tournament Edition
do the songs have stops or other timing segment changes?
(the icons on selmusic above/below the player status) p.s. Linux version will be available starting with release pre001.3. |
