ATTN: Rubix
Just so you know... your score got beat. I believe yours was 58 goods and 12 averages with 20 boos. This also shows how ****ing stupid combo based scoring is. I still find Halogen's score more impressive. But anywho, I beat your score and finished my challenge, so go me. Also, I know it's unrecorded and the site is still being fixed up, so I'll have to get this score again probably. But I don't really mind. |

Re: ATTN: Rubix
Haha, that score indeed beats mine -- congrats on winning the challenge. :P Awesome score.
Halogen's score is beyond sick, too. I also agree that combo-based scoring is insanely retarded.

Re: ATTN: Rubix
Dossar - do me a favor; play through the song and figure out where the 48th walls/bursts are and try to ignore them. On my 35g run, I completely skipped the last mini 48th burst because I almost NEVER get through it without missing. Figuring out all of the burst locations and hitting the 32nd walls properly, you should be able to get into the high 20s. I'm CERTAIN it's doable. Obviously, with combo-based scoring, it's nothing more than an impressive feat.

Re: ATTN: Rubix
High 20's is really insane though even if I do get some misses, what usually happens is that I get a good-miss then I continuously get misses on that same arrow and it turns into a mess. Also there's one 16th section I'm a bit weak at but I'll keep that in mind

Re: ATTN: Rubix
I can completely nail all of the 16th jumpstreams, including the (14)2(14)3(14)(23)(14)(23)(14) sandwiches. Just about all of my goods come from really bad pattern lead-ins or disgusting frame placement, both of which are out of my control in terms of getting better at. A typical FC run for me is around 60-70g, with a fair amount of avs/boos.

Re: ATTN: Rubix
I actually did a decent job of nailing the 32nd walls or whatever -- I just dumped random Goods all over the place in stupid spots (typically jacks and areas near the end of the song after my hands started to die)

Re: ATTN: Rubix
Wow, just checked my score to Dossar's, I have him beat by 40 points even with 12 misses...
...that's 760 points if I were to have (not plausible) FC'd with that exact PA O_O EDIT: I find it absolutely hilarious that your RATO was called BS when it was in the 70 good range when you posted your DOMINATION thread, lol Last edited by TC_Halogen; 10-11-2010 at 11:23 PM.. |

Re: ATTN: Rubix
Nothing much, got alright at SM and proceeded to do nothing more than AAA Destiny Gamma (Standard) and sub-50 RATO; SM gets boring to me outside of making charts.

Re: ATTN: Rubix
I still want someone to sup my Death Piano. After my extensive playtesting, I am pretty confident that it's AAA'able.
EDIT: To be 100% clear, I've AAA'd each part of the song, but just not all at once. It's not impossible to chain it all together, but it would take someone with faster hands, more focus, and calmer nerves than I have. Halogen: Did you ever make charts for songs like RAM - Ramsterdam (Jorn van Deynhoven Remix, whatever it is) or Above and Beyond - Anjunabeach, or Alphazone - Flashback? (all three have epic climaxes that open things up for some very, very creative and difficult approaches, for both pad/keyboard)

Re: ATTN: Rubix
I -struggled- with RAMsterdam. It's so hard to come up with different things for a song so long, and I despise using the same patterns/rhythms for really long songs. I have only about a minute and a half done...I still have to step two ITG-style charts for Superfreak, which I intend on doing later today.
