Hmz...Starcraft 2...what do you think?

What's up everyone? Just fig'ed i'd make a post about sc2...if there is already one, sorry -_-;

What's everyone think of it? Planning on getting it?

Personally, I think it looks pretty ****in' awesome. I like the fact that they didn't throw in any new races, just new units for each 3. Since I've been playing Sc since the day it 1st came out, I can't wait to see what sc2 has in store when it releases.

There is a thread about it but the last post is quite old and I think it involved an argument about killing World of Warcraft.

Just because it's a Blizzard game, quality is already guaranteed. I will most definitely be buying this at release because I want to experience the Starcraft phenomenon in all it's true glory. I caught onto the first Starcraft way too late and I didn't play very many multiplayer games because I wasn't allowed to at the time.

Im probably not gonna play it at first, but I know like, 10 ppl who are going crazy waiting for it to come out..it does look very impressive though.

I'll probably get it on release day. Im more of a fan of the warcraft universe, but since we probably wont see another Wacraft RTS for a while SC 2 will have to do >_> protoss ftw.

Yeah, there has been a topic about this already, but it died.
SC2 looks amazing, I can't wait. Release date needs to come out sooner.. >:O
I probably won't get it the day it comes out though; it'll be sold out, and I'm not that dedicated.

Yah, I'm more of a fan of the Warcraft franchise just because it makes a lot better of an RPG with all the lore backing it, but I'm want to play an RTS again.

Yeah, I'm really hating the Zerg right now too.. but not for that reason. O_o

SC2 has tons of shiny graphics that hurt my eyes, the explosions are shiny and hurt my eyes, everything is so ****ing shiny. The went overboard a bit with the graphics, I hope we can turn off some of the effects.

I'm not liking some of the changes either. Things like zealot's charge attack and the reaper's jumppacks are sweet, but I'm not so sure about micro-heavy things like the ghost's sniper ability. Micro sucks IMO, a fun macro game was what made the original so good.
A lot of the developers are from the Warcraft 3 squad, and as we all know WC3 is 100% a microfest, so I hope that SC2 doesn't go the same route.

Another concern is units like the Thor. What place does it have in the Terran's strategy, besides looking badass? I mean, two seige units, wtf? I'm glad the canned the Mothership, that was a pretty dumb idea...



We'll see. I'm getting it for sure, but I'm not that sure I'll like it yet.

well I don't know much about the new one but I love the old ones so hopefully I can get really into this one and start playing online T_T
