Secret arrows. There's a glitch in the game that makes invisible arrows sometimes go by, usually in the beginning of the song when theres no arrows, that people can hit for extra points. Yes it's cheap. Yes it sucks for those of us who refuse to not cheat like that.

Invisible arrows? How weird. How did people even find these? Just keep pressing arrows constantly while nothing's happening and hopefully you'll see a message about hitting/missing one, then memorize its position in the song? That's a lot of trouble to go through, isn't it? Well, if this is a glitch/bug, hopefully it will be removed in future versions of the game.

I just gave this one a try (I've got to stick to levels below Standard because I stink), and got a 161 max combo, too. It wasn't perfect like NirvanaFreak0872's was -- I had 117 perfect, 39 good, and 5 average. But I think that's the first time I actually hit all the arrows in a song and didn't miss any of them so I was pleased.

*blank stare*

i have to agree with dronak... that's a lot of work to find a few extra arrows. i can just imagine trying to find some extra in say... runnymorning. that would be a bitch, but i guess if you have no life you could have the time to find all those hidden arrows.

is this bug going to be addressed in the next version of ffr?

Yes.. In the next major version, these should be eliminated.

We are sorry that we can't get rid of them now, but how the current verson is structured we can not remove them from happening.

It's ok... That song sucks anyways :P But... The "secret" arrow glitches should be at their close.

As for the people that spent forever on getting them... They're about as annoying as those idiot fat barflies... You know, the one's that hang around there Friday and Saturday nights... The kind of people with greasy slicked back hair and receding hairlines and their velvet shirts with their fat hairy chests exposed to the world... Bastards.

But . . . but . . . that was the first time I got a full combo! (Yes, I'm a newbie and I basically stink.)

More seriously though, what is causing these invisible arrows? I mean, it's not like the step file that generates the pattern of arrows has code for "put an invisible arrow here", right? That would be really mean. So is it misreading something in the files or doing something where so many beats of nothing confuse it so it throws in an invisible arrow or what? If it's too technical or something, don't worry about it, but I'm curious.

I know, it's often rather hard to read stuff typed in that stupid version of a language. But what I think you're missing is that "l33t" is "leet" as in "elite" and "h4xorz" is likely "hackers". I'm pretty sure "pwn" is "own" and "sux0r" is probably just "suck". That should fill out the rest and yes, it's a weird comment.

i'd like to know too. if the creator of ffr reads this, please give us some insight. if it's technical, that's fine. i've worked with flash and actionscript many times before, so i shouldn't have trouble understanding.

also... another thing i've noticed about the game in the three days or so that i've played it is that if you step on an arrow it gives you a boo! i was unsure of how many points boos take away from your score so i went to the faq but the only had perfect, good, average, and miss listed. how do boos affect your score? and why does the game give them to you if you press a key without an arrow on the screen? i mean, it's not like i had a step to be "booed" for.
