Re: Why ITG is stupid.
Most of ITG's steps are illogically hard or just paddable keyboard files.

Select "Game Options", and switch the "Game Over" option to "End of Song". You still fail the song, but it doesn't cut the music. On the older games (MAX, MAX2, Extreme U.S) Enabling "Event Mode" allows you to select a song after you fail one. |

Re: Why ITG is stupid.
he meant on the machine genius.
anyway Sunshine is one of the funnest 10s in ITG I couldn't possibly see why you would complain the 16th note burts they go with a beat thats not necessarily the most concentrated beat on in the song but its the only beat in the song that if followed would produce any kind of difficult steps. The reason it does that: its an expert chart. I'm sure if you played it on hard or something it would be different and would probably follow the vocals much more but the expert charts are meant to be difficult. Especially with you if the whole song went by just one beat you would just call it boring, which it probably would be. All they're doing is making the chart unique and they did indeed because its a very fun maybe one of the funnest 10s in ITG if you played the whole damn thing through maybe you'd think so too. And you wanna talk about sync? DDRs engine rounds triplets (12th, 24th notes) off to the nearest 64th note i believe which means it forces you to play offbeat on songs like bag, burning heat or anything of that sort so don't even go there. And oh yeah hateing the entire game because of one part you didn't pay enough attention to in a song is the dumbest thing ever. I don't like a LOT of the songs in ddr i think were very poorly put together like end of the century or the fact that stoic and d2r are stupidly offsync but I don't hate the entire game because overall it's a good game. ITG is the same thing its a unique game with new ideas meant to be more difficult which would explain why they add hands so stop whining. Last edited by Novacaine; 02-23-2007 at 09:48 PM.. |

Re: Why ITG is stupid.
maybe im not reading this right, but the life bar on the side is the ONLY life bar in ITG... and if you fail you shouldn't get any more points (right?)

Re: Why ITG is stupid.
If the bar on the right goes out, you get to keep playing, but you fail the song. If the bar on top goes out, not only do you fail the song, but the song ends.

[=================Song Progression Bar=================] -- || || || || || || <======= Lifebar || || || || || || -- Where in hell you're coming up with a top-of-the-screen lifebar I do not know. All that measures is how far along in the stepchart you are. Also, regarding an earlier post regarding "fail = no points" logic: Duh? Why would you be awarded anything for failing? If you really want to complain over failing and getting nothing, recalc your score when you're done and get on with life. And lastly: This is the truth.

And I don't remember saying anything about that logic that was all that stupid, just stating that if I fail a song in ITG, the song oughtta cut off right where I failed. |

And if he can loan me his DeLorean with a Flux Capacitor to find a machine, that'd be nice. Anyways, ITG enjoys putting arrows on beats that only dolphins or dogs can hear. I mean, if you were listening to the song say..."Flying Without Wings", what's the first thing you hear? Furthermore, what's the most prominent feature in the song? Vocals. ITG would probably lay down a hundred or so arrows, none of which are synced to vocals, but instrumentals that can barely be heard. Not syncing songs to vocals isn't a bad idea, but it only really works if the thing you're syncing it to is louder than the vocals (Like many of ITG's dog whistles used in their songs that account for many of their random arrows). |

Re: Why ITG is stupid.
Lol. Let's try to make this simple..
1. ITG is not stupid 2. I prefer DDR only because I prefer to freestyle (dance) over doing AAA on 12-footers. |

Re: Why ITG is stupid.
DDR is ok but after you master most of the game and still don't play ITG it's just a noob game for people who are afraid to try anything challenging.
