Why do FFR players "have no life"?

This really bothers me. People see I'm good at FFR, then suddenly assume and say that I have no life. True I play it a lot, but I spend no more time with this than I do playing volleyball or training. When people see that I'm good at sports and a really athletic person, and I excel in volleyball, suddenly, I have a life. Yet I'm the same person. Volleyball is definitely my favourite thing to do. I could spend all day at a volleyball tournament, even if I'm not playing (I've done that, 2 full days volunteering at a big tourney). I could spend all day playing volleyball, but I have a life, even though it's basically equivalent to spending a day playing FFR. I'm spending my day on one activity. But volleyball gives me a life, and FFR takes it away.

Makes no sense to me

I've never heard anybody say that. I probably don't have a life. I just go to school, get home, do homework, talk to Sam, come on here and MySpace, then I go to sleep. I repeat that 5 days a week.

ive heard it before, but in a joking tone....

people assume that because youre so good at it, and its something done on the computer, it must mean that youre constantly on the computer playing the game....

Playing well at FFR takes practice, thus sitting on the computer a lot.
People seeing a hard song done well think of the 'guy sitting on the computer without sleep playing the game forever'.
To do this you must have a lack of a life.

People who tell you that you have no life just assume that you have no time to do anything except practice. However, people don't realize that one does not play 24hours a day to become good at rhythm games.
Take piano, for example. I only have one hour of piano each week, and people think i spend all day practicing it. People just have never realized how much easier it is compared to how hard it seems.

Ya I play piano. I hate it, but I've been taking it at school since Gr. 3. But it's really easy. I've gone to RCM exams having prepared for about a week to learn all my stuff. Then I get like high 80s. Not too bad for a week's practice.

people assume this at my school they are like "do you play it all day", then i just say to them i play it about 15-30 minutes a day, and they are like no way, and they assume that im like top class in the world but i tell them im not even that good and they dont believe me O.o

I get this all the time.

1.People are jealous.
2.They think we spend all day on the computer.
3.Its usualy fags that everyone hates in secret.

What I do is not even lisin, since half the time, I have more of a life then them rofl.

What I do is tell them this:

"When I play ffr, its like lisining to music, just playing a game at the same time"

Remedy is right...the fact that one can CHOOSE to play FFR and has the time to do so means they DO have a life. People who have no free time at all are the ones who can't really say that. Just because one chooses to play a game doesn't mean they don't have a life guys...it's just how they choose to live it. P.S. Hope that's not to deep. lolz

I'm good at sports and video games and for me, life is simple;

Being a good at Sports is considered cool

Being a good at Video Games is considered not cool at all

Being good at both is considered normal (not too respected and not too rejected)

To make it shorter;

Brains VS Muscles
