Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Batch #1 complete)
you never even asked me for reasoning
asking to re-judge is basically saying me judging is worthless I gave a 1 for a reason, not because I'm a dick. I felt like the file in question wasn't fit to be in game, and needed an overhaul. Instead of going "waaah file rejected REJUDGE" consider the fact that maybe it does need fixes and that you're not always right. we have multiple judges for a reason.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Batch #1 complete)
If I was saying you judging is worthless, I would say that all of your ratings should be nullified. That's obviously not my intent. Yes, I want my rating from you nullified, because I strongly feel like it's unjust. I'm not always right, but considering how many batches I've judged (and judged with a lot of scrutiny/detail), I'm fairly certain that other judges would actually assess the file and give it a legitimate rating.
The 1 rating is completely ridiculous under any stretch of the imagination because as I've said before, it's appropriately synced, has a proper offset, and has a legitimate structure. What exactly is so wrong with the file aside from the two mis-rhythm instances of the right hand piano in the first 10 stepped seconds of the file? As far as the other file, I don't mind about a rejudge nearly as much about that because the rating doesn't as ridiculous of a variance (four points), but your review was absolutely terrible. If there's not a single jump in the file, it's pretty obvious that I was trying to avoid them. The color usage is clearly for different rapping voices. Everything is explicitly laid out in a way that should be understandable, yet I'm getting bombed for absolutely no reason. These are reasons why I really strongly disagree with semi-detailed notes not being required for judgment, honestly. EDIT: Kommi and I are going to talk in private about this -- drama stops here; heated discussion over, bye Last edited by TC_Halogen; 06-1-2013 at 10:37 AM.. |

I didn't ask silvuh to rejudge arsonist when he rejected it, even though I completely disagreed with his judgment

It makes no sense and is a waste of time. I got nothing of value from your notes, and frankly I feel your rating is unjustified to be any lower than a 7 based off what I already said. One of your deductions, the automatic starting from a 9, is complete crap. I'm only saying anything because I feel screwed out of a proper review and rating. Either explain a complete justified reason for starting at a 9 / 10 that pertains to my chart, or change your rating properly. Next time, if you plan on docking me a free point for no explainable purpose, just pass my chart. People like you should not be reviewing material for the game if that is the sort of garbage you're gonna pull. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Batch #1 complete)
That is me calm. I'm [rightfully] annoyed that a chart I worked hard on is getting denied due to some horrendously garbage reasoning. He's pissed his chart got raped by Kommi's review, but he's doing the same thing to me to a lesser extent by simply deducting a free point.
He has yet to give any solid reasoning for why he is screwing me out of that point, and it is literally the point keeping it from having a passable average before the calculations are completed. How would you feel if your chart got denied because someone has some garbage thought to start ratings at 9/10? I would hope you'd be at least annoyed enough to speak up. I worked hard on that chart, all I am asking for is a fair review and chance like everyone should get. Docking points needlessly just takes away the chance people work for. It makes the effort worthless if people can just dock things because they feel like it. |

His points are totally valid. You're reading way too much into the "start all charts off at 9."

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Batch #1 complete)
A 10/10 rating implies that a chart is perfect, and that there's no way it can be improved whatsoever. This is untrue at an objective standpoint because there's always going to be room for improvement no matter what. We don't have an objective way to judge simfiles because we all have our own view on what makes a perfect simfile. Sure, it's your right to question a judge's rating or view on your simfile but if you're going to insult a judge for it on a public forum, then you should probably stop sending simfiles. If you're going to question a judge's notes on your simfile, do so via private messaging or on Skype, AIM, etc.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Batch #1 complete)
Unfortunately files with a [PASS] rating doesn't have a set date when they're completed, but hopefully as soon as possible. I inform this thread when I do update passed files.
Submissions do not close. There's a new system of submitting files. Please read the OP. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Batch #1 complete)
but how do you decide the flow of files?
i'm sure the new submission system is bound to receive WAY more files than before since we had batches way less frequently than 2 months
