2013-2014 baller thread
#KNICKSTAPE subplots to look out for a) metta world peace and j.r. smith commit a murder together b) these first few months/weeks where durant is playing without westbrook. dude's gonna average like 35 points per game c) the 76ers are gonna be a top-5 worst ever team. believe it. nba scholars feel free to prove me wrong but i feel like that could be the worst, like the WORST, roster in nba history. well maybe adjusting for time when everyone was just generally worse there are probably some stinkers in there but REGARDLESS i feel like we're underestimating their potential shitfulness. d) i love these rockets e) i love these warriors f) derrick rose is going to crossover some nerd-ass guard like brandon knight so bad that the dude's ankles are just gonna disappear forever bye Last edited by robertsona; 10-26-2013 at 10:47 PM.. |

Re: 2013-2014 baller thread
brandon knight is not a nerd-ass guard, i say this solely because he played at kentucky (but he definitely is a nerd, dude was an AP scholar lol)
sub-plot; JR smith becomes the top scorer on the knicks and melo is salty okc is still okc, best team in basketball but somehow loses games bobcats.

Re: 2013-2014 baller thread
Brandon knight is a worthy player who has just been stuck in a bunch of wrong-place-wrong-time situations but I maintain he is at least above average in nerdassness

Re: 2013-2014 baller thread
they've been a perennial 8th seed/first-round exit type team since iverson left, but this and the past offseason they traded away or lost any real assets they had (andre iguodala, elton brand, jrue holiday, louis williams--they've literally been shedding their best players year by year) in order to land andrew wiggins, currently at kansas and, if he chooses to one-and-done, a lock for the 1st pick of the 2014 draft
so yeah, tankapalooza. there are some semi-effective players on the team but when your best is, uh, thaddeus young? that's a pretty awful crew Last edited by robertsona; 10-27-2013 at 02:55 AM.. |

Re: 2013-2014 baller thread
Heats are going to fuck up big time this season lmfao. They might have made it to the finals three years in the row but if you look at it, they rely heavily on the big three and i think it'll cost them big time :/

Re: 2013-2014 baller thread
More like round 2 of San Antonio vs Heats with heats being cocky after winning the first two games and then losing 4 in a row.

Re: 2013-2014 baller thread
honestly would be happy to see timmy get five. would have been happier to see it happen last year, in game 6, with lebron going 1/4 in the finals and the spurs earning their fifth ring in the run off a monster game from duncan buuuut u know. the spurs are getting old fast though....
i think this year will be more fun. lots of annoying injuries last year (k-love! remember him? and that guy d-rose) |

Re: 2013-2014 baller thread
I didn't even know kevin love was out due to injury last year. GL 2 him 4 sure
def can't wait to watch some Rockets games. hope they've improved. I really like watching "run a lot, fastbreak pts, jack up 3s" type teams. |
