Re: The Official Fifa World Cup Soccer Thread
Too bad they screwed it up. I'm mad at them right now. Stupid coach. Stupid losing. Stupid half-assed foul at the end of the first half to loose the game on a penalty kick. /ranting
After all three games, I'm almost sad to say that I was rooting for the U.S. They played horribly for most of the tournament. /more ranting All I can really say about the game is that it was a great accomplishment for Ghana to make it to the second round. |

Ghana = awesome right now. You could say I was going for the US but due to certain reasons, I was hoping US would lose.

Re: The Official Fifa World Cup Soccer Thread
Well has anyone else noticed that soccer is beginning to catch on in USA?
I bet two years from now we should have more, new, younger players and we might make a better team. Like 4 years ago no one cared about the World Cup, but just 2 nights ago Conan had a sketch for it. Maybe you guys remember how Conan started the Chuck Norris craze. Maybe the same will be for soccer. Just hopefully without the jokes. |

Re: The Official Fifa World Cup Soccer Thread
People don't care about the World Cup just as much as they ever did.

Re: The Official Fifa World Cup Soccer Thread
Go Ghana. Hard to believe that they beat the U.S but I was rooting for them. Good to see some of the smaller countries advancing.
In other news Brazil is playing against Japan right now. Japan scored the first goal. Hell yeah! As I'm typing Brazil just made another goal. Junihno from a distance. That makes the score 2-1 Brazil. This is a good game. Ronaldo doesn't look that bad in this game. He's gotten fatter. He isn't as fit as before, but he's had good plays this game. Let's see how this turns out. |

Re: The Official Fifa World Cup Soccer Thread
Brazil vs. Japan is over. Brazil won in a great game 4-1. Ronaldo is tied with (insert person's name here) for fourth place in most goals scored in world cup history.

Re: The Official Fifa World Cup Soccer Thread
France is beating Togo right now 2-0. Zidane is not playing in this game considering his yellow cards. If France would've lost they would have been out of the cup. That would of been a shocker eh?
In other news: I hate Argentina. How we got stuck playing them in the first flippin match of the round of 16 I'll never know. It blows though. Mexico has been playing horribly. Our main goal scorer got injured and we have the worst manager in the history of the world. He didn't bring the best talent possible to the cup just because he has some problems with some of the people. It's expected more from Mexico but we haven't shown our best (mostly the manager's fault though). This cup has gotten interesting. Let's see how this all turns out. |
