There were long rumors about the potential announcement of a Crash Bandicoot release -- the last good game that was released (as an avid fan) was The Wrath of Cortex, 13 years ago. Unfortunately, no announcements. I'm not sure if I should be upset that the rumors were false, or be happy that the series wasn't potentially butchered again.

The only difficult games I really hated were ones that give you cheap deaths. I think a good difficult game is one where you die not because of the mechanics/leap of faith/no time to react/memorization, but because you yourself screwed up a part.

Arguably, not indefinitely. Megaman x is up there, even if I'm a fan of the classic style more

Are there any platformers TO look forward to this year? (Besides Mario maker cuz old school physics engine+customizable difficult=obvious greatness)

Admittedly, the sound of the shotgun + door (and what it may imply) makes me infinitely more excited than the Cyberdemon reveal.

I hate to say it because I love these games to death, but to me that describes classic sonic games to a T

We've known KH3 and a new Battlefront are in the works for a while now. Just coast, Sony. Maybe work a bit harder to promote the Vita, which is actually an incredibly solid piece of hardware, but otherwise, there's nothing you need to do.

MS is just cancer.

Oculus Rift and Morpheus are wildcards. The idea that anyone is going to go straight from "We modernized VR" to "Have Mirror's Edge 2" in a reasonable timeframe is probably not realistic.

Anyone still talking about gaming on a smartphone can off themselves.

I expect this to be an underwhelming E3 for the most part.

Oculus Rift is supposed to see a limited first batch release in December in major retailers, just saying.
