what's confusing?

I think the issue is semantic. I talk about partners when partnerships aren't symmetric. They're really hierarchical relationships where one has authoritative power over the other.

Every action in this game has a consequence that someone is informed about. Every action in this game has a consequence that someone can be held accountable for, wrongfully or otherwise.

I found it to make perfect sense actually but not really something I would delve into without a bit more experience imho, then again I'm not much of a pro at this so who knows

I reallly reallly don't want to sound ignorant because I have read the posts but I'm still confused with the whole partnership being in control of partners thing.

Does your partner know your power?

No. Unless you tell him. He doesn't know who will contact him, either. You're free to lie.

No. You have to trust that it was activated or not. Roles can be activated without consent so if you get a psychic role on d1 - a passive role - and you forget to talk to the player who activates roles for you, you may get psychic results the following day phase if he activated the role for you despite not having spoken with you or knowing what role you had. This is good in some cases, bad in others.

Yes. You get a name and a role at the beginning of the phase. You get a new role every day phase.

I'm running this game in two places at once - I'm asking players who play in both forums to choose one forum to play on and avoid the other thread. I haven't changed roles and although they include common roles like seers, guardians and psychics, there are others that are not.

I don't think I can host both at once if I can't players to cooperate and avoid the other game thread.

Hosts don't need to be all that active manti. Just ending and beginning phases really. Fic's game is rather intensive though.
