From my experience with the first game, the skill system got rather stale and even though there are tons of different weapons, they all started to feel the same. Unless there is significant improvement on both of these fronts, going to pass on this.

I have been playing this since BL1, and put SO many hours into BL2 so far. If anyone wants to add me and do raid bosses\ level new characters\ really anything, feel free to add Jaygoemon on steam.

It's one of my favorite games ever, and I love playing with new people. Let's go blow shit up.

Well the biggest difference between BL1 and BL2 is the fact that there's a legitimate plot now, other than "let's go find loot, oh wait loot vault is actually giant vagina monster", now there's a real primary antagonist, a real story. Its fantastic. Also, Handsome Jack is the greatest fucking villain oh my god.

It's REALLY well written. From the overarching plotline, to the characters, to the minutae of the dialogues, it's all just really solid. Each character has tons of personality.
"Tons" is an understatement. (Oh Tiny Tina... wonder how much fun Ashly Burch had during VO recording lol)

I bought Borderlands 2 for Xbox. And Holy Shit It's one of the best games ever! Is there a difference between the xbox and the Steam Version?

I just feel like venting and saying the PC controls/interfaces for Borderlands 2 are horrendously bad and a giant step back. I'm ripping out my hair trying to change my equipment when it used to be so easy. Meh.
