Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
Personally, I'm against the idea.
But if we don't have the player base to keep both games alive and active it needs to happen. |

Well, I'm not going against Maki and Manti for hosting, lol. I'll leave it up to BDN.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
it'd have to be a pretty good game set up for me to vote for it over the 24 player mystery game.
or if someone wants me to vote for your game you could send me $60 so i can buy GTA and your game may sound better

Something needs to be established about the game merge or lack there of. I do not support it for many obvious reasons, however, let's hear what the council has to say.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
Technically the games aren't merged at this point, so the combined host sign-up should be renamed to jTWG signups. I don't really think merging them will solve anything, but I'll wait until more people weigh in on it to cast my vote.

Just throwing this out there but if a moderator happens to edit the host sign-up thread could they please edit mine to say XLIV in capital letters because I can't on my phone.

You mean LXIV. There's been 63 TWGs, so this'll be the 64th.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
Now, BDN, please take no offense to this but I do wonder, is your opinion biased because you want to host your 24 player game? Meaning, if you wanted to host a smaller game would you make the same vote?

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
I would vote on it no matter what game I was hosting. This is a good solution to our problem, for many reasons stated previously. If we don't have enough active players to run two 16-player games (which has often been the case recently) then one combined game is the best solution. Sure, there might be some problems when newbs are playing with hArDcOrE vEtZ, but I really don't see more demerits than merits.
Even with a huge game like mine, think about it. Two 16-player games = 32 players that can't cross over between games = not likely to be active at all One unified 24-player game = 24 players in one diverse game = more likely to be active. Plus, I've tried to design my game to be as engaging as possible.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
I believe the veteran players went back to playing TWG and left jTWG open to the new players it would have the same if not more efficient and productive results. The veteran players (you, me, manti, heavy, lito, meno, xplay, trav, mak, people before I joined, etc, etc) should stick to playing in a game suitable for them as was originally designed. That would leave the door open for new players to learn and grow together as the climbed a latter to playing with veteran players.
Furthermore, I have a new suggestion. I ask you guys to seriously consider it as it could be more beneficial to the game: I propose that the player sign-ups come before the host sign-ups. I say this with logic behind it, don't worry. I firmly believe that the games would be much more enjoyable if prior to inventing the games the hosts knew how many players would be joining and who they were so they could set their games accordingly. Again, seriously consider this, I'm not just tossing an idea out there I'm giving quality feedback. |

'the vets' don't play anymore, except for manti. I don't know how well everyone plays now, though. Can't say I've heard the best of things, either.
