ive been playing since like the summer and im just wondering what they are since i have just heard of them

Custom playlists that allow you to play all kinds of files from SM/Etterna on the main FFR client, that aren't part of FFR itself

there are two different types. There are song engines, like Eppu just talked about, then there are the game engines. These were different versions of the game that all allowed you to play FFR, but have different features. The main 3 that were playable in browser were Legacy, Velocity, and R^3, which the current downloadable clients are based off of. Since the death of flash these clients aren't cared for anymore and could break at anytime (if you can even figure out how to run them)
