BMS videos
Hi, anyone still remember me lol
It's been around 4 months since I've played a single game of ffr, and around the same for sm too. This is mostly because of school, my schedule's been pretty packed this whole term and having less and less time left over has made me give up practicing my button mashing daily practicing for the most part. I haven't quit or anything, just doing many other things with my time, studying, playing other games and such. I probably should explain a bit about what BMS means since most people here probably don't have a clue about it. BMS files are basically beatmania's equalient of stepmania. A rating system is used for the harder charts that goes from ★1 to ★24. These are from the very lower end of it. To give an idea about how these ratings relate to konami's official ratings, AA[a] is a ★1, while Mei[a] is a ★6. So yeah most of these are a textbook example of how to get yourself carpal tunnel. A few more things to note about these videos. I didn't have a second camera on hand to do dual view, so it's a slightly hard to see what's going on. I can't exactly make the game screen bigger either because that makes it harder to read for me. I'll try to remedy this somehow next time. And one more thing, the turntable for my controller is broken, it misfires a lot. Enough ranting: 約束 -HappyHyperStarmiX- Another AAA clear A starmine remix, nothing too hard, just a fun song to play. Rated ★1 Searoad Tracks =side blue= AA clear Another fun song, has its tough parts. Rated ★2 Air Another+ AA clear It's air lol. The second easiest of the harder charts for it only though. Rated ★3 Well, enjoy.

Re: BMS videos
Question, since I'm curious about bms
What can you do with a song if you don't have it broken down into keytones already? Is there any way to do it? edit: When you play, your keytaps are like 1/10th of a second earlier than the actual sound playing. Doesn't that really bug you?

Re: BMS videos
I wish I could answer that but I know next to nothing about actually creating bms'. I ran into a few packs uploaded on the vjarmy forums and got them only a few days ago so I'm really new to this scene. You're probably better off asking someone who's been involved in it for a much longer time, like linus for one. Or you could try asking someone on vjarmy.
EDIT: Not really, it honestly sounds a lot worse on video than when I'm actually playing it. I rely mostly on my vision anyway.

Or, you can somehow chop up the song for each note by using such programs as Goldwave; I'm not sure, but I've seen many of this kind while playing IIDX ripoff bms'. And wow, really nice skill, Laggy. o_O |

To be more precise, I got a new TV and ended up making it my monitor. I still have my old one set as secondary

Re: BMS videos
I'm not sure how many others remember, but I still recall your epic showdown with Shash in the final of the last official tourney (100-point difference...haha).
Anyway, this BMS is interesting stuff...the Starmine looks a bit like playing on solo, haven't seen the other 2 yet. I'm pursuing a 6-month IT course myself that's going to be intense as hell, but if everything goes well, I'll be employed before 2010 comes around. |
