Re: Saddam sentenced to death
News to me.. I don't even keep up with this kind of stuff.
It's funny though, cause.. I woke up one morning, got on these other forums, and saw a new topic entitled "SADDAM FOUND IN A HOLE" I laughed, clicked the link.. clicked the link the poster had put up to the news article.. and I was just like.. Are you serious? Mom, dad.. Saddam was found in a hole. They didn't even believe me and started laughing until I changed the channel to the news. >_> |

Re: Saddam sentenced to death
If we kill Saddam, it will be a message to the Middle-East, saying "it is the time to strike America for what they done."

With the way the Iraq war is going, we might be better off apologizing and putting him back in charge.

Yeah, aren't dictators supposed to be exiled? I think that's how it's supposed to go.
I bet you, Saddam is going to write an autobiography and it will be on Orpah's book club. |

Re: Saddam sentenced to death
The death penalty is a horrible idea in any situation.
How does killing someone whose killed people make you any better than him/her? What sense does it make to minimize the amount of time this person will spend under lockdown with absolutely nothing to do day in and day out? Not to mention that there's obviously no coming back from death. I would think that anybody would have enough humanity to realize the extent of murder-ESPECIALLY when dealing with a guy like this. Unfortuantly, I suppose I'm wrong.

Re: Saddam sentenced to death
I say choose a third world country, give them top end security for one of their prisons and throw him in there. Solitary confinement for life. America might have a problem carrying out that sentance becuase of human rights and all that, but a third world country would have no problems keeping him locked up in exchange for some extra prison security.
The only reason i say that is because there are a lot worse things than death. But then again he was found in a hole so maybe living in a square room for the rest of his life wouldn't bother him that much...

Re: Saddam sentenced to death
I am for his death sentence, but not necessarily by hanging, nobody should have to go through that, even after what he did. I also thought execution by hanging was abolished like thirty years ago anyway.
