Best Rythmic Game You Have Played
I can't really tell you about my best other than this one because I'm new to rythmic games. Even though I want to know which are the best (excluding FFR :P)

Re: Best Rythmic Game You Have Played
Right now I'm addicted to ReRave. I find it a lot more fun than most rhythm games. I like ITG a lot too but we don't have access to it consistently. I can play ReRave at the arcade or on my iPad.

Re: Best Rythmic Game You Have Played
osu is probably the best imo. It has standard tap tap, and mouse (or tablet) tap tap. Can't beat best of both worlds.

Re: Best Rythmic Game You Have Played
atm I can't get enough of Osu. Audiosurf looks pretty cool though.
Oh but if it counts, Child of Eden is damn good (I'm pretty sure the way you play it is supposed to be somewhat to the beat of the song) Beat Hazard looked really fun, I still haven't gotten around to playing it even though it's installed on my computer lel |

Re: Best Rythmic Game You Have Played
Wish you could make custom maps for it, it seems to get the job done, but sometimes its a little off or you want more out of it. Pretty sweet game.

Re: Best Rythmic Game You Have Played
Really just depends on what you enjoy. Too many to list/compare but some of my favorites are Sequence (RPG/DDR), Symphony/Beat Hazard/Soundodger+ (Music based bullet hell), Guitar Freaks/Drummania, DJ Hero.
Then you have the standards GH/DDR/ITG/PPP/Beatmania, Rocksmith was interesting if you have a guitar (Not really that great for learning properly, or if you already know how to play, but fun). Sound Voltex is crazy, DJ Max, etc. Looking forward to Crypt of the Necrodancer (Rhythm/Rogue-like) Audiosurf 1 was fun, 2 has potential but needs work. |

Pad rhythm games - DDR and ITG. PIU is fun too, but I'm a lot better at DDR and ITG.
KB/controller rhythm games - DJMax, O2Jam, Beatmania, pop'n music (more recently SM and FFR) Touchscreen rhythm games - Cytus, Tap Tap Revenge, Jubeat, Rerave |

Re: Best Rythmic Game You Have Played
If it wasn't for DDR, I wouldn't have discovered FFR. Then I liked Stepmania, which I still play once in a while. I've never played the beatmania IIDX series, but it has amazing music. Beat Hazard is cool too, if you like shoot 'em ups like Asteroids, but powered by music. Works really well with high BPM songs. The more psychedelic the song, the more psychedelic the game will be.
I've never tried Audio Surf, but I always thought it looked cool.

Re: Best Rythmic Game You Have Played
Amplitude was great, yes.
While not strictly a Rhythmic game, N20 on the PS1 was what got me into video games featuring music. Crystal Method made that game epic. Also, I could never get into PIU, the inverted DDR pad thing really messed with my head. Plus DDR machines were easier to find. Anyone else play DDR/ITG on consoles with the regular controller? Those skills came in handy when I started playing DJ Max Portable, lol. |

Re: Best Rythmic Game You Have Played
FFR is fun and all by there are by far way better rhythm games out there. I don't even think FFR lands in my top 5 for rhythm games in terms of being best lol.

Re: Best Rythmic Game You Have Played
Anyone tried The Polynomial? Trippy stuff, especially if you have a 3D kit.
