The 2008 Olympics
It's that time of the decade again, the 2008 Summer Olympics are coming! As an athlete, I am very excited about them coming. Who else here is? We have people from all around the world here on FFR, how do you think your team will do? Have you been following things?
Sadly, this year I don't predict America to boom. I would, of course, love if my country did, but I don't anticipate a landslide victory all around. I think our swim team will do nicely, though. Anyway, how's everyone else feeling about this exciting event? Feelings on the placement of the Olympics? I don't think China is the best place for things, but only right now. Perhaps postponing it being held in Beijing? |

I'm interested to see how Michael Phelps does. My econ professor said that he's on track to becoming the person with the most Olympic gold medals or something to that effect.

Re: The 2008 Olympics
Yeah, I find summer olympics to be boring as well. Then again, I've never liked to watch sports.

Gay didn't make the 200m. He pulled something in qualifying, I think. And you should add Powell to that list.

Summer Olympics are okay... I'll watch the street ball tournament....oh, I mean the USA b-ball team maybe... And softball... Beyond that, if it's on, I'll pretend i care.

Re: The 2008 Olympics
I personally could care less.
P.S. Hot and smoggy weather is gonna suck for the athletes. |

Re: The 2008 Olympics
Usain Bolt is an insane bolting athlete who can run really fast. I used to live in Jamaica so I must know what I'm talking about. Same with Asafa Powell.
Anyway, I'm pretty excited about the US basketball team and mildly excited about Phelps. I don't really think he'll beat Spitz's gold medal record; I think that has been hyped too much. Also, just maybe ESPN will stop talking about Brett Favre 25/7 for once and talk about the Olympics. |

Re: The 2008 Olympics
Chinese government sucks. they're going to bomb the athletes in the middle of the 200m.
My two cents.
