Re: [Breakcore] A New Beginning
The bass could be less overpowering IMO, but really cool track otherwise.

Also, breakcore is basically the free-jazz of harder electronic music but it don't matter cuz this song is exactly right as it is right? Quote:
What's more worrying though is that you dared to call my opinion shitty. What right do you have to call my opinion shitty? You are not an accomplished composer of any sorts, neither do you have any notoriety on music and EVEN THEN you wouldn't have the right to write off someone's opinion like that, you elitist dick. Quote:
And you say no profanity no hostility? Maybe you should read your words again. Quote:
How about you learn some fucking manners when someone gives you an opinion instead of insulting the one giving critique, dickface. Quote:
And the second part in that quote is not true at all. You came on skype, started off with how I was retarded for stepping schmollbluk the way I did and started to aggressively point out mistakes I made on the file and why I shouldn't have stepped that "piece of shit". For one, your manners were completely nonexistant when you addressed me about the file, so yes, it's no surprise I got pissed at you. And second, you started "critiqueing" my file.. 3 years after its fucking release. How is that helpful in any way? Point wasn't even the criticism you gave me, as most of it were valid arguments for ergonomics in the file, but your complete and utter lack of respect towards me when starting your rant about schmollbluk, and the fact that you were 3 years late with this shit. (I like how you're trying to turn this thing around and make you come out as the good guy here but I have the logs still and you were simply ranting in a disrespectful way, and out of fucking nowhere as well) To further entertain the readers some more with your utterly disrespectful attitude towards people who don't agree with you, here are some excerpts of our skype conversation: Quote:
Quote:
I listen to a whole range of breakcore, and even so, I can understand someone's idea regardless of the style it is in. I may not like the style but I never commented on your style directly! Quote:
I would like to add to this that I actually have other friends who produce in higher circles who have asked me for critique and value my opinion. People who run their own labels, like Tanuki, DJ Thumpa, Rex Buron (NiTEFLARE) and The Speed Freak. Welp, there goes that argument down the drain. Quote:
And then there's this beauty of a quote: Quote:
Just because I can't cook, doesn't mean I don't know good food. Just because I can't produce, doesn't mean I don't know good music. This is seriously the most elitist argument you have ever made. And one more thing, about the "not understanding what works go in it". I don't need to know how things are made to appreciate the end-product. It's the result that matters and the result was sub-par in my opinion. None of the criticism even matters in the end. The point is you have an absolute shit attitude towards criticism when someone disagrees with you and you're a disrespectful douche about it.

Re: [Breakcore] A New Beginning
eh, is there really a right or wrong? who cares what people think of tracks apparently unless there positive (its okay, I can get offended too, but critisim is critisim) For me I've personally delt with denile of my abbilites as a step author by most people and I still don't understand it, but with music it's different only cause the sky is the limit (I just label most of my weird shit as electornic) with what you can do even to the extent it isn't music anymore. And as much as I like the track, and am in no way going against you, you did seem to be a *little* rude with things like "shitty critiscism" ect. and ultimately working in a mainstream gerne your going to "have" to listen to people not just like Tristian but pretty much anyone who apposes what you do at some point.
I can understand your immediate defense, I cant stand when I step MY OWN SONG and people tell me the file isn't "right" or I missed a "note"... Last edited by V-Ormix; 12-9-2012 at 07:23 PM.. |

I don't have to (nor do I feel obliged to) show respect to those who fail to show respect in the first place

Re: [Breakcore] A New Beginning
I suppose it was well-deserving since Eric got incredibly impetuous there, I never expected him to take it further. Oh well, your post made my day, lol.
