Re: Songs of the Week (May 25, 2013)
bmah wins all the things because holy fuck. :')
Also lmfao OVERklock seems like it should be much lower than 75 still... the one hand trills are only hard for pure spread individuals if you know what I'm saying. Last edited by smartdude1212; 05-25-2013 at 06:02 PM.. |

I almost sightread AAAd Dead Batteries. It is not an FMO.

You cant really judge by that. I sightread 4-0-1-3 on OVERklock and got 3 clean third try, yet i can barely do FGOS. aha
Also, almost AAAing and AAAing are COMPLETELY different in this game. lol

Re: Songs of the Week (May 25, 2013)
Current score distribution on OVERklock is looking characteristic of high FMOs...really reluctant to knock it any lower than 75 with the current data that's being pulled in, even if everything outside the one handed trills is barely FMO in difficulty

Re: Songs of the Week (May 25, 2013)
OVERklock looks more of a 73-74 yeah, it feels easier than Mermaid Island by quite a bit. On another note OVERklock's my favourite file of the week, good job DarkZtar. <3

Those trills are a lot faster than they sound.

Re: Songs of the Week (May 25, 2013)
I wouldn't knock Overklock's difficulty down over trills that can be easily cheated. (i.e, hitting them as jumps) That's just me tho.

Re: Songs of the Week (May 25, 2013)
I agree, I suck at FFR and I didn't find this a 75, sure the one hand trills are fucking gey, but aside from that it's pretty friggen easy. Plus it isn't really that long.

Re: Songs of the Week (May 25, 2013)
If it were truly a 73 (or lower), the scoreboard would look a lot cleaner than it is at the moment, and it would definitely have more than two AAAs, especially considering some of the players that have played the file and are more than capable of AAA'ing mid-FMOs on command or even sightread.
It's not your typical 75 by any means, I agree, but I still like 75. The file is easily read and playable for players at a much lower skill level than what's required for the average 75, but it's arguably tougher to score well on or AAA than most high FMOs for a pretty sizable chunk of upper level players. |

Re: Songs of the Week (May 25, 2013)
I'm fine with 75, I would actually bump it back to 76 or 77 or somethin' because I sure as heck can't do it, even with cheating the trills for jumps.
But I suppose it's one of those files where some players are just really good at one handed trills.

Shotgun Surgery is an 81 for less demanding OHTs than Overklock. It's long and has other tricky parts too, but I think anything less than 75 for Overklock is hard to defend. I would've just left it at 77. Whoever said it's easier than Mermaid Island is kind of out of their mind. Last edited by Mike Weedmark; 05-26-2013 at 03:09 PM.. |

Re: Songs of the Week (May 25, 2013)
lol lets just end the arguement right now and say the difficulty for OVERklock is COMPLETELY subjective. In my opinion its only around a 73, some people think its a 74-75 and others a 77. It just all depends on what you are good at. <3333333

All I could think of while playing "Pictures at an Exhibition" was that old puzzle game The Incredible Machine. Am I the only one? o.o
