You know who I really can't stand? Dane Cook.
I really hate him. I hate him so much. Soooo much. He isn't funny, you guys. Really. Go listen to some Mitch Hedberg, Eddie Izzard, or Lewis Black and then listen to him again.
Not funny. He sounds like a mix of Mitch Hedberg and Lewis Black if Mitch had more enthusiasim and Black talked about random stuff. Do you want to know -why- people think he's funny? Because they are consumer whores. ....That's really all I wanted to say. |

i have to admit, he most depends on random/psychotic humor, but he does seep through the cracks every now and then. i couldn't stand to watch his stand-up though go on Youtube and look up "shorties Dane Cook". those are about the only funny things i get from him |

Re: You know who I really can't stand? Dane Cook.
Dane Cook isn't completely unfunny, but there are certainly better comedians.
He's made me laugh a few times. I can't stand Robin Williams doing stand up. Some of his movies are good, but I think he is terrible at stand up. Much worse than Dane Cook.

I'm with you here... I can't stand him.
His humor is just like... a constant flow of 1-liners. Which some people like, but I don't like that. He tends to shout into the mike an excessive amount too. Eddie Izzard is my personal favorite. |

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH AIRLINE PEANUTS.
No, but seriously, Dane Cook is funny. He may not be the best comedian in the world, but he's a really funny guy. Then again, I'm obviously not an expert on what makes people laugh like you all are, so what do I know? |

Re: You know who I really can't stand? Dane Cook.
The reason you guys don't like Dane Cook is because your humor level is raised higher than the average person. That's because you guys strive off of clever remarks that are sarcastic and mean. And since you all hang around the gb too much, your humor levels are raised. <<My theory.
I don't mind Dane Cook. I watch his new episodes when they come on, but never twice. Any laugh is a good laugh. |

Re: You know who I really can't stand? Dane Cook.
I'll mostly laugh at his stuff watching it the first time, and only watching (listening to it makes it lose most if not all of it's hilarity), and then my friends usually whore his material until I can't stand it anymore. I'd say he's funny enough for me, though, and it's useful for a little bit of entertainment when I'm bored out of my mind.

lol k ur rite random picture lol thread title lol fish No, seriously. - Most people like him because he's inane and energetic. While his material certainly isn't funny (nor is it entirely original) I really have no problem with him. In addition, the one time I've met him, he's been INCREDIBLY nice and personable, and this was not in front of a large crowd, just me and a few of my co-workers back when I worked tickets at The Comic Strip! Live.
