Zaia / Serenade / Chino
Hey everyone, sarp
2008-2010 I used to play double-setup index keyboard before ITG, and here's something cool i did: And then a year later i made my montage (that one set to Gohan vs Cell), which actually has the video of the stream of this song, then a few months later my computer died and i effectively left stepmania. 2012-now i had always maintained a pretty serious commitment to pad even though my strength was keyboard. But because of all the various logistics and stuff, it was hard playing really consistently all the time, so i'd get like 3 months consistent then 9 months totally off or something. So i never actually got as good as I wanted... i was stuck on the 240bpm barrier for 2 and a half years. Anyway stuff happened and in february last year i was able to play to my heart's content and then got stuff like this www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iyWZ9zHP0oYtw or if you want to see something new (gift for reading this thread): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwyA9ckbP-I the secret is to play as if your life depends on it, play everything as hard as you can and push yourself to the absolute limit and beyond. If you have the mental resolve to endure the pain that is involved, you can be a great player at this game. I wanted so badly to be able to do these things, and I see my achievements not just as 'passing hard shit' but sorta like a self-affirmation and reward for my hard work.. all those years failing vertex beta in the first stream, or one more lovely in the third stream at 40%, all paid off now. This also applies to keyboard too.. Look: I have shed blood from under my fingernails all over the keys and shit, so you know what i did, i played even HARDER songs and the blood helped me stream even faster. Idgaf, i wanted to be good Anyway, what the fuck am i going on about, i'll hang around and chill and stuff, will probs post in some non-gaming threads too. If you guys are able to find me on facebook (Chino Wood) i am always free to chat, can give advice/answer questions and stuff. Strong community/10 ps i never played ffr ever, bite me Last edited by Zaiatheism; 05-25-2013 at 08:21 AM.. Reason: im the fuck you man |

What the ass did I just skip reading?
PS: I wouldn't use that double setup here, you'll get blacklisted so hard. (I know it says used to but in case you're not aware.) |

In truth, that was surprisingly... not difficult. When I wrote it I was thinking, 'this should be like the hardest thing ever', and then playing for the first time, I was genuinely surprised. The hardest part would be comboing the 48th notes in the middle, I was pretty nervous around then. Then again, candles seem to be my strength - I have no luck with the current meta for footspeed and don't have the necessary co-ordination or technique for it like Matt does. This community is pretty chill.. AIJ is like the big city for itg and r21freak is like the creative arts district. I like how this forum's main emphasis isn't itg and more keyboard, and I want to expose myself a little to keyboard songs and charts so I can find new stuff to convert to pad. Anyone who is familiar with BMS music please make yourselves known to me! I want to start stepping their songs, and some are just so good |

You should talk to one of our forum administrators, bmah. He tends to chart BMS music (he's the one that showed me BMS of Fighters a little while ago). |
