Default NDS Online and a New Legend of Zelda Trailer.

WOOOOOO!

LOZ Trailer:
http://media.cube.ign.com/media/572/...html?fromint=1

and.. NDS Online:

http://ds.ign.com/articles/594/594933p1.html

March 10, 2005
"At the Game Developers Conference keynote speech today, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata revealed that Nintendo will be sending its Nintendo DS online wirelessly to enable gamers around the world to connect to each other in games written specifically for the protocol.

Once the service begins later this year, Nintendo DS users will be able to connect to the service wirelessly at universal Wi-Fi hot spots in use all over the world. Nintendo's in-house development team is already creating Animal Crossing DS to support global Wi-Fi connectivity.

During the speech, Iwata took part in eight-player wireless competition of Mario Kart DS with audience members to demonstrate the local-area wireless support already inherent in several Nintendo DS games. More details on the Wi-Fi service will be revealed at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles this May.

Iwata also used his keynote speech today to reveal that shipments of DS systems have surpassed four million units in North America and in Japan in the 16 weeks on the market. That number will approach six million when the system launches in Europe this March.

During the speech, Iwata demonstrated two key Nintendo DS games to spotlight the unique gameplay aspects and non-traditional gaming of the dual screen handheld. Nintendogs was highlighted to demonstrate the voice and touch controls of interacting with realistic puppies on-screen. Electroplankton also made its debut to show the innovative use of the DS' control properties. According to Iwata: "This is designed to produce harmony, not adrenaline."

Discuss.

Chromer, shut up about the PSP. So what if it has online also. This thread was about the DS' online capabilities. If you want to talk about the PSP, do it in another topic.

Lets not turn this into another stupid PSP vs. DS topic.

I don't like the touchscreen. It bugs the hell out of me.

Mal

PS: And yes, I've had ample time to "get used to it", but I still don't like it, unless I'm writing in the notepad or doodling.

happy birthday to me!!! how nice of N to release a new zelda video (my favorite series) on my birthday...it looks...interesting...I can't wait to find out the title/theme...link picking up/petting kitties seemed strange, and wasn't really going along with the whole dark theme of the rest of trailer...but it was still pretty fricken cool...and I don't have a DS...oh, and chromer: will the PSP have mario kart online? nope. different games. different discussion. different thread.

EDIT: oh, and it should be mentioned that the 'Revolution' will be backward compatible...for those of you who haven't yet experienced the glory that it gamecube.

You shut up. I never said that the PSP was better or anything. I just said that the PSP was online capable just like the DS. Its your fault you took it the wrong way and made a mountain out of a molehill about it.

That trailer gave me heart attack. I had one as soon as Link dived underwater.

Man, can you imagine how beautiful a Twinrova battle would look in this game?

I was like going to have a siezure when I saw this. If this is just a remake of the Ocarina of Time story line im just going to be pissed. Ganon would look kick ass in this though.

Jeez people, it's a console and a game, not the second coming of *insert deity*.

They both look very nice, however.
