EVE Online
Anyone play? Post your char name here... I'm culmor30.
If you don't, I suggest checking it out: http://www.eve-online.com/ Fun MMO, $15 monthly though, so not for you if you're cheap. And if your gfx card supports it, you can run the premium graphics (with pixel shader 3) which are AMAZING.

Re: EVE Online
I used to play it. Got annoying when my expensive ship got destroyed and I never played again. T_T Good thing I didn't pay though.
Gathered enough ISK (or whatever the currency is) to buy a Destroyer, I think. About 1 mil something. Was pretty cool but then I got pwned. |

Re: EVE Online
Ahah, lol. I have 4 mil isk right now. I have a cruiser (vexor), destroyer (catalyst), frigates (tristan and something), freighter (Iteron mark III), and some other stuff I can't remember.
But you should join a corp and get insurance. If you had it, you ship would have been compensated and your corp could help you with money.

Re: EVE Online
I'm just gonna bump this instead of make a topic myself.
Is this really the only Eve Online thread? Well I'm just now getting into the trial of this, this game fascinates me but holy **** learning curve. Training times are getting insane, anybody else playing this out there? Sorry, don't have much else to say about it to justify the bump :< |

Re: EVE Online
I used to play it kinda. I loved the graphics, but the game play is SOOOOOOO freaking complicated.

Re: EVE Online
Yeah, but the steep learning curve is kinda a good thing. It keeps the less mature 10-year-olds out and lets the rest of us focus on actually playing the game instead of putting up with their crap.

Re: EVE Online
Yeah I'm still pokin around having fun, still in Rookie Chat with some 2,000 other people. Like every 10 minutes there will be a random question like "IS THIS GAME GOOD??" "How do I land on the planets?"
Finally getting the hang of some things though. |

Re: EVE Online
I'm considering starting this, since WoW is boring and this is very different.

Re: EVE Online
Yeah, I merged both for a while then quit WoW altogether. I just got tired of grinding nonstop. I'd play WoW again if they got rid of the monthly fee though. And WoW also ruined my grades, but this doesn't really hurt them.
