Paysites need to die! Custom content is made from Maxis objects, so pricing shouldn't be allowed! | 0 | 0%
Paysites need to die, but only the ones that have priced objects. | 0 | 0%
I use both paysites and free sites. Each are fine, and quality comes out of both sides. | 2 | 100.00%
Paysites are absolutely fine. The people made their own content, and get to price it, too. | 0 | 0%

Discuss the Sims (2)
Yea, in this thread, pretty much talk about the Sims and Sims 2.
(If you don't play the Sims then you don't need to post here, unless you want to ask about it or if you're planning on buying it. Sorry if there is already a thread for this, if so, give me links!) -------------- Things in my Sims 2 aren't going well. My game will stop loading halfway through. I think it might be because I downloaded objects that need a different expansion pack (I have Nightlife and Open for Business, BTW). On the topic of custom content, I download a lot of stuff, especially from The Sims Resource and Mod the Sims 2 (MTS2 has been really slow lately...) As for my Sims, I create a wide variety of people. I have modern minimalists, hippies, aliens, elves, geeks, bodybuilders, average-joes, and so on. I try to make their family trees really big, especially over time. One thing I haven't done yet is to my my own family and house... From the poll above: Where do you stand in the whole "paysite vs. free site" issue? Elaborate on your opinion. I think that having custom content for sale is OK, and "pirates" need to respect that. A one-time donation for a site to access it's paid content is what I think should happen to pay sites, rather than destroying them altogether. It's nice enough that people create objects for Sims users. It is a pretty unique talent. Not everyone can make new, quality meshes, let alone buy the right programs to do so. Re: Discuss the Sims (2)
I like both pay and free sites. In paysites, I rarely donate unless it is really good stuff, like with custom animations, a unique use and look, and so on. In free sites, I can sometimes find the same thing; but, of course, for free. So I use paysites sorta like a last resort, but I still like them. Pirates need to respect that people go through a lot of work to make stuff for us, so they should be able to put a price on that. I just want to ask them: Why don't you make something for yourself? You can make it better than their object, like with your own unique features, and then boast when you're done. In fact, when you do that, you might see why people want to price their items, especially after all that hard work they put into it.

Re: Discuss the Sims (2)
Hey, that's a good point. I didn't think of it that way... maybe pirates should try and make their own quality objects, and then they would see how hard it is.
By the way, what do you create inthe sims? |
