Default Making April stepfiles - Get free subscrptions and/or credits!!

We're looking to get 3 of their songs into the game. Steps of them to be 1 easy, 1 medium, 1 hard file.

As of now, Drugstore has the mp3s. I'll have them also on Thursday. So ask either of us for them, we'll give them to you to step.

Get one of them accepted, 1 month subscription. And 10k credits. This is to make things official, so Drugstore doesnt have to buy subscriptions himself, or give out his credits.

www.myspace.com/makingapril

Also, any other Rock/Funk/Hip-hop song that is stepped and gets in game will be rewarded with a minimum of 10k credits.

I can't see how any of these songs can be made to be considered "Difficult", unless someone bs'd all the way through it.

Also, they'd have to be some sort of sync god because these definitely sound live recorded and non-constant. And even if they were to sync it right, it'd be boring and probably an average of around 101 bpm.

*sigh*

Someone send me mp3's of some of their songs, more particularly, the song they'd want stepped.

If anyone's going to step them, I could use myself at least another month as well as some credits, so at least I can do them justice.

Well, Drugstore said that Making April plays all their songs live at about 172 BPM. I think Roses and Butterfiles was a little lower at 168 though. But yeah, syncing is an issue with these songs. I think I need to resync mine because I did the gap the wrong direction xP Though I'm not sure, because my file seems to play a better than it does on Drugstore's computer.

tru dat

Actually, some sound like they'd make a "difficult" file. Still sounds pretty hard to sync though.

They might say that, but there's always a variation due to live recording as well as the band's ability to maintain a constant rhythym. Though it may sound constant to the ear, it can subtly waver around a bit, thus making some notes a bit off-key.

aka I'll need some kind of super-sync machine after I chart the patterns.

Yeah, I know there's a variation, but it's pretty close. Also, syncing in FFR is only approximate anyway xD

True dat

but you're talking to someone who thinks that 78% of the stuff that's in FFR right now is mediocre. I can't bring myself to finish something if I think it's going to suck, and if I feel it's off, it sucks to me.

This could be pretty cool. I'm still working on my other files, but I'm getting a little stuck with those. I'm always looking to start something new and put my other projects on the back burner so to speak. If someone could pm me or aim me I'd really like to give this a shot.

this is sexy =]

i do have all of the mp3's. and i do have all of the bpms straight from the band themselves. They play with a sound clicker so this is one of the few rock bands that keep the same bpm throughout the whole song.

just message me on here, aim (alovelikericky), or email (drugstorecowboy@flashflashrevolution.com)

Hey, I have a few funk songs that I have a but of an issue on. I am all ready to step them and step them well, but here's the dilemma: I didn't make these songs, the people who did are long dead and I would have no chance of asking for their permission. However, I was in a concert and a recording as the lead trumpet in these songs, so I don't know if I am considered an "author" of these particular recordings. Any feedback on this would be great. Thanks.

EDIT: Oh, the songs are Walkin' Papers, Chameleon, Coyote Cafe, Bill Bailey and a rendition of Angel Eyes.

Just talked to greg (from Making April)

Hes hoping for this lineup -

Jump In (114 bpm, 3:37) - possibly as the easiest song
Driveway (212 bpm, 3:13) - possibly as the middle difficulty (im giving this a shot)
Roses And Butterflies (168 bpm, 4:18) - possibly as the hardest song.

I have all three Mp3's, so just PM me here or IM me on AIM (alovelikericky).

<3

steppers: in this case, "difficult" means like a 7-8. easy = 3-4, medium 5-6, hard 7-8.

digital: that'd be awesome... but at the same time, we are looking to get these out asap. aka, in about a week or two.

drugstore: don't hand out too many mp3s yet, unless Synth has gotten you that email with which 3 songs the band wants stepped. no point getting people working on files for songs that we aren't going to use.

u84: if the song is from 1923 or earlier, then it is public domain... and if your school or whatever played them... then that would be fine. but only if they are pre-1923. also, as a live recording, you'll have bpm/sync issues.

I might step one of these, but for now I've been working on a 5 minute + rock song. The Rain, by Forever in Motion.

I can get that in by today or tomorrow.
