Watching sports are for people who either can't play sports or are so alone that they feel the need to create some sort of pseudo-bond between them and the team of their choice. This gives them the illusion of being part of something great, and as a result they go bananas when "their" team wins.

I used to enjoy going to Astros games. Up until they changed the team name to the Houston Oldies since they keep on signing veteran players.
I go to soccer games now. A little bit more exciting to watch instead of waiting for pitch after pitch after pitch. Don't get me wrong. I used to play baseball - for 6 years. PS. Any Philadelphia residents going to be Philadelphia Union fans when they start playing? edit: All I need is the Yankees to advance to the WS so I can prove I can see in the future.
