I just got finished downloading the game. Seems like its kind of daunting for someone who hasn't played this kind of game before but it looked fun. Any tips your are willing to share with me would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to go in and not be a complete hindrance to the team.

Try not to die.
Try to kill stuff.
Last hit creeps when they are low.
Kill towers when it's safe.
Pay attention to the mini-map at all times.
The recommended item builds ALL suck don't follow them, look up guides online (not mobafire)
Remember that killing the enemy base is what makes you win not getting 3453450938 kills.
Realize the community is incredibly bad mannered so be prepared to deal with a lot of flaming and rude criticism.
This game takes a while to understand and get good at because most of it is understanding matchups, teamcomps, pressing advantages, cutting losses, and map/objective pressure, so don't expect to get good real quick (but don't get discouraged either)

So what are 'yall thoughts on Morgana support? I've done her in ranked twice and won both as support...

She'd have to be played stupid aggressive and able to land all her q's and have a good talent for landing e at optimal timing but I suppose it could be done to a degree. I mean people play Lux as a support and her kit's just as different.

So I decided to play her stupid agressive like you said. I landed about 75% of my Q's so far... and try to get as few kills as I can. This is what happened:

Currently 4-0 ranked with her overall.
(Currently like 1260 elo?)

EDIT: It looks like i got carried from this view... but i can reassure you I played support pretty damn well. They focus me forgetting im a support, then they all die.

I will keep all of that in mind. I'm used to people being dicks online so that's nothing new. Is there someone I should start with or just try a bunch out and what not?

Garen is extremely user/new person friendly.

Editing in some other easy pick up and go champs;
Annie, Caitlyn, Master Yi, Singed. After a while though it becomes mostly centered around what playstyle you prefer. Experiment with several different champs in each category, because usually people have like one or two champs they just cannot get a grip on, and you could have found one of yours. For instance, I suck ass with Vayne (strange as that sounds), but wrecked shit with Varus before he was buffed. If I hadn't tried a different ranged carry, I would've assumed that it's not the type of thing I can do or enjoy doing, and would have a large chunk of champs sitting there collecting dust that I could be having fun with.

Oh and PPS, don't discount the older or more underplayed champions, alot of them are still quite strong and just go unplayed because they feel old hat.

There are some champions listed as "recommended". That's how I started out, by playing them. It's all about finding a type and style you're comfortable with. For example, I love playing support, and I'm atrocious at ADC. So luckily I play with a friend who plays ADC and love me supporting him. Just play around a bit. I'd be happy to play sometime as well if you want. On occasionally.

Find a champ you like playing and commit to mastering that champ. Screw "recommended" tags or sites/people telling you X champion is easy, find what you like and go with it.
