Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #7
on another note, the songs should start a little bit easier (in an effort to accommodate for lower flights).
rest assured, they won't stay that way. |

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #7
Actually Hi19's comments are appreciated. Plus I've done the same sort of thing to him, so I really kinda understand why he phrased it as he did.
A few things about S.Y.S.T.E.M. 1. It's actually "S.Y.S.T.E.M." I'm dumb and made that mistake. <3 2. The patterns weren't chosen to be "fun." Neither of my charts this tourney are "fun." I stepped them in the interested of being a little more technical than usual. 3. How it got into the tourney has no relevance on this chart as a whole, it was actually charted for the last custom and it needed a good deal of work. This is actually the better chart compared to the other one. 4. This chart is WAY better than NVLM's technical shit dump, if you asked me. 5. It's not a perfect chart, I accept this. 6. You all really need to pull of this stupid "You hate it because it sucks" argument. It's a disgusting argument. Cut it out. 7. The chart is stepped to the beat, all the minijacks are justified, as it's a large pet peeve of mine when people have no purpose for them. The only hands of this chart are literally 3 sounds at once. Notes aren't placed to PR. The anchor jack section was originally 1 1 1 1 1 1 34 sort of thing. I thought changing it to how it was would help keep the difficulty more consistent. Yeah that's just my thoughts. I'm fine with Hi19 saying he dislikes it. I'm no stranger to it, and honestly seeing things like that makes me want to work harder. PS: What's funnier is that compared to how I've phrased comments I thought Hi19 was reasonable. Thanks for the input everyone. |

Kinda just skipped over it in the post. Not sure where you're getting I'm implying my word is law, I stated my opinion on the file and that was that. I'm glad you ~approved~ it, but that still doesn't change my opinion or the fact that the patterns in the file are not well musically justified. Some people enjoy giving feedback. Some people enjoy reading my feedback. Some people *gasp* even learn from it, which is awesome. Submitting a file to a public showcase such as this tournament is, in my mind, inviting feedback. I plan on giving feedback for every file in this tournament- if people are going to misinterpret this as me implying my word is law then so be it, misinterpret away. I've actually said I'm fine with playing S.Y.S.T.E.M. as a tournament file- it's a good test for 1-handed anchor jacks. It makes a nice D5 file. I play bad files in Dossar tournaments all the time too and still quite enjoy myself, the feeling of competition and pushing your limits is rewarding. But Dossar doesn't even remotely pretend the files in his tournament are good lol they are just files that test skills and somewhat go to music, which is about what I'd consider the S.Y.S.T.E.M. chart to be. Stop snapping any time anyone says something you remotely disagree with. People are allowed opinions bro. p.s. Yeah I still hate SAMBISTA too. At least I'm consistent. Quote:
I'll agree the jacks themselves are absolutely musically justified, but the 1-handed anchor jumps are not. If you are going to use that kind of pattern that is difficult to hit, it needs to be either REALLY justified in the music, or you will get hate for it. You will probably get hate either way, to be honest. However had you gone with (13) and (24) jumps instead I think I might have even liked the chart haha The 1-handed anchors totally destroy the flow for me.

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #7
Feedback is everything a simfile artist should want. What makes the difference is how you express it. Any opinion can suddenly sound like one's adamantly believes it's a fact simply by the way it's worded.
So it isn't a matter of not wanting feedback, positive or negative; it's how the feedback is perceived based on your wording. |

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #7
Just to double check.. If you have an account registered and the scores save on the actual engine, those are good for this tourney, and you don't have to ss correct?

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #7
You have to SS still, but you don't need to timestamp/gamercard
