Help me improve?

I'm not sure what to post really.
I can pass difficulty 10 songs pretty easily, some with FC.
Difficulty 11 gives me troubles though.
I'm good with streams, but the second you toss in combo steps I lose it.

Any suggestions on what I should practice on? You can look at my replays to see what I can and can't do, I'm always playing.

Do you mean jumpstreams by "combo" steps?

Like, it's a normal stream, with doubles throughout..

Try practicing songs like 4 Chord Touhou non-stop , just keep whoring that song
And you will get it, trust me!

(And try not to mash.)

And to the other poster, yeah I mean jumpstreams. Streams are easy for me, just so long as there are no double steps in them.

In the top left hand corner of the game screen, click on the S. Set the min to 11 and the max to 12. And press random.

Repeat this for best results.

Difficulty 11 songs are For Master's Only (FMO) Difficulty 12 songs are For Guru's Only (FGO) FGOs are the hardest difficulty barring two songs. Also, if you have stepmania, I'd suggest looking for midare's dump files, it can help you add speed, and for me personally, I can read songs better because of playing a lot of "dump" files. I don't have the links on hand, but I'll look for them later.

Hmm, well for jumpstream practice, try songs like Cosmic Orchestra, or if you wanna try something a bit harder Exciting Hyper Speed Star, its an FMO, but its a good one for practice, as someone else said, try a variety, so that you don't get mental blocks on these songs.

None would escape is a good song to practice on

Just keep playing songs past your abillity, later go back to the easier songs.

Dont worry about that just keep trying, it's all about immersion into the harder stuff.

Yeah, just play all the FGO / hard FMO songs, then you'll eventually start getting it. It makes it harder to transition backwards, but it's not too bad.

What do you mean by transition backwards? Go back and play easier songs?

To PA easier songs, when they're really slow, but yes.
Generally, you can PA 10s and 9s pretty easily once you start whoring FMOs and FGOs.

Generally it actually doesn't make a difference - unless you're playing a song with tons of jacks... Ex: Darkshark played with 1x lol.
