Replays

Hopefully LD sees this.

I'm sure other threads have been made, but I'd really like if avmisses were removed from replays. Dunno how hard the scripting or coding or whatever would be to do this (I'm computer illiterate as fuc) but if it's something that could be done pretty quickly, it'd be really awesome.

I guess post in here if you agree with me?

It could be good to keep the unfixed replays flash player for those cases.

No, it's not like ridiculously complicated or anything of the sort. I just need a proper replay .swf that will compile without giving me massive errors due to the fact that I don't have proper pieces, etc. I'll actually try some things out later.

There's nothing wrong with the replays themselves, nothing about them needs to be changed.

The way replays are recorded is basically by forming a big list of "At this exact timestamp, this button was pressed" and when you watch the replay, it functionally -re plays- the song at the time. It isn't video, or a recording of your play, it's actually autoplaying the song by pressing the same buttons you did when you did.

The problem is that the game client version that it is playing your replay on isn't the same one as the one the actual game is, so the changes to the timing windows etc etc that were done to create the avmiss fix in the actual game client don't exist in the game client that is being autoplayed on when you watch a replay.
