Re: The Video Game Mega Pack 4 (RELEASED!)
Yeah, when I try to start up SM5 from the program folder, I get a Win32 error. Anyone got a solution to that?

You can play the pack on older versions of SM, but a few songs will crash the program. Last edited by macgravel; 09-5-2016 at 10:45 AM.. |

The zip has two folders in it. Maybe that's the issue? Did you check the folder?

Re: The Video Game Mega Pack 4 (RELEASED!)
Well you can play on an older version of SM, but be prepared to have a few crashes. About 99% of the files should run. There's only a few problem children.

Re: The Video Game Mega Pack 4 (RELEASED!)
Song list is absolutely stellar, look at all these dang viddy games (especially the Deus Ex: HR chart, wasn't expecting a song from that ambient focused soundtrack to be in)
Definitely gonna play through as many of these as I can

Re: The Video Game Mega Pack 4 (RELEASED!)
I'm getting an error while extracting "Can You Really Call This A Hotel, I Didn't Receive A Mint On My Pillow Or Anything (CyclopsDragon)" related to the song title being too long for windows to handle it (260 characters limitation)
You can get around that by renaming the song/sm file and extracting it normally. I just thought that was a funny issue. Hype |

Re: The Video Game Mega Pack 4 (RELEASED!)
Could I convert and make a mirror of this for osumania? My converter keeps all the credits, backgrounds etc the same, and includes the pack name, authors etc.

That doesn't take into account for offset fixing and normalizing SVs in songs that have dynamic or multiple BPM changes Regardless I'll still help

Re: The Video Game Mega Pack 4 (RELEASED!)
All the files in this pack are quality, so instead of reviewing each file I’m just going to note what I think are some of the standout files
Airship Stage (cedo) - Super fun take on this file, love the intricate layering of the drums. Alien Lair (MarioNintendo) - Wow what a stellar file, amazing song and just stepped so well! The samba-style bits are so cool Alien's Lair (cerdo_claro) - I just think it’s really cool to have this juxtaposed with MarioNintendo’s file, it’s the basis for the remix he stepped so I enjoyed playing just the barebones of it Armor-Plated Armadillo (Nullifidian) - Love the groovy rhythms, fun file to jam out to Battle! Deoxys (porkypink) - What’s a Dream Theater file doing in my VGMP? I kid, I kid, very fun file and short and sweet Battle! (Lugia) (hi19hi19) - All your “Battle!” files were fun, but this one stood out the most to me with its unique rhythms. I think all these Battle files would be great on rates for high skilled players! Big Blag's Lair (Tsuka) - Excellent layering and pr in this one, also I’m a sucker for minijacks at this tempo so you got me Black Rain (MarioNintendo) - I popped a little half chub during the high hat trills. Your layering is rock solid, not just in this file but it really shines in this one. If you’re just glancing through files wondering what to play, make this one of your first picks for sure. SSH goodness with some awesome guitar solos Blue Field & Catch'em Theme (MarioNintendo & MacGravel) - This song is just so cute, and steps are a real joy to play Carnival Stage (cedo) - Marvel soundtrack is so badass, good steps Coeur de Céramique (MarioNintendo) - Props for syncing and stepping such a beautiful song Colress Battle (Kommisar) - Pokemon got really badass at some point after I stopped playing the game. I mean I’m pretty sure these are remixes, but either way it’s good stuff. Anyway, this is a dope ass file that is fun while also extremely tricky. One I definitely look forward to revisiting and improving on. Okay, that gets me through C, doesn't sound like much but it's actually 37 files good god
