New Apartment
I've seen numerous threads about people getting apartments on here over the years. I guess it's my turn. I just moved into a new apartment where I go to college. I lived in dorms for 1.5 years but decided to move out because they were expensive and lame.
So here is what I have My bedroom. Bed and battlestation. I ****ing love that desk Other side of bedroom. Shitty dresser from my girlfriend's parent's house. A new dresser is the first thing I will buy next. Closeup of battlestation. The laptop is about two years old but the desktop is brand new. Specs: 3.0 GHZ quad core processor 6 GB RAM 1 TB Hard Drive Sapphire HD Raddon 5750 video card with hdmi output Wireless internet receiver The laptop also has an hdmi output. I made sure to have these so I can hook either computer into my TV Futon and coffee table. This is the living room btw View from the futon. **** yeah glass chess set. 32 inch LCD TV. I think it's too small for the room so I might upgrade to a 47" eventually. video games more video games Side view. I'm still unpacking the only ****ing non video game games a person needs Second bedroom. Still unpacking x2. This will be my roommate's room when he comes back for the school year so I'm not gonna use it. No pictures of kitchen or bathroom because all of them are the same anyway. Every furniture item in this apartment is brand new except for the dresser, laptop and the 360. I am pretty happy. |

Re: New Apartment
Cool! I have to stay in the dorms because thats the only living space that financial aid will cover and I'm taking an average of 18 hours so it would be pretty hard for me to have a job right now.

Re: New Apartment
haha I actually sold that exact table yesterday evening at work xD it is indeed a nice table.
The glass chess set is awesome! You must be feeling how I felt when I moved into my own house for the first time 6 months ago.

Re: New Apartment
It is awesome. I placed the coffee table just far enough away from the futon so I could use it as a footrest but not be able to touch the chess set, so I never have to worry about knocking it over.

Re: New Apartment
Yes it is. When we went, there were no desks available, they were all out of stock. I went back and heard that they were still out of stock of the smaller desk we talked about so I just got the big one.
If you're talking about the coffee table, yeah that's the one I bought with you there |

Re: New Apartment
Was wondering where you got the desk because I remember they didn't have any. Never knew you went back there.

Re: New Apartment
heh. Too bad the only people I know here are people from work. Everyone from school is gone for the summer.
I'm not in Kansas City anymore, I'm 150 miles south of there |

I'm moving into a new place in about a month or so as well. 2 bed, 2 bath, 2 Story townhome in the heart of Berkeley.
How much are you paying for this place? |

Re: New Apartment
How is rent over there in Berkeley?
Here in my current NY apt I'm paying like $1400/mo, but the new place will be about $1100/mo (surprisingly, the new place will be better quality, have a better view, more room, be closer to work, and I'll be living w/my gf) Also curious what Rebirth's rent is |

Re: New Apartment
I can tell your rent is about 3 or 4 times higher than rebirth's. But... New york.
