Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
Hello my name is wv. I've been a member of the judge crew since 2009 and I would like to take time away from my busy schedule to say that I support rogdor as a judge. He and I have campaigned together for many years and I know first hand what he is capable of. He is a strong candidate and I would put my reputation on the line for him because I know he can do it and do it well.
Paid for by rogdor for judge administeation

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
The batch will open very soon, but I'd like to bring a small addition in the rules to everyone's attention:
Postponing Files: You are allowed to postpone any accepted file you have in the queue if you want to send file fixes in the near future, but are currently unable to do so. You must declare the length of time that you want to postpone. The maximum allotted time for postponing a file is 60 days (2 months). If you fail to make any fixes after your declared time period, your file(s) will be released from the postponed list and will become eligible for release as is. You may not postpone a file more than once. This rule has been devised as a result of a select few people postponing their files for an unreasonable amount of time, despite periodic reminders. |

Minor rule change:
13. You can use any (4th - 192nd) notes, and BPM changes, but you cannnot use stops. Thank you. to 04im: that file was accepted in an easy batch and you didn't get SAP from it at that point, iirc. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
That's pretty much what it implies. Unlike another rule in which we previously auto-rejected additional charts in a file (which has since been amended), judges cannot readily delete stops and judge properly without being a huge inconvenience.
So yes, that'd mean the presence of stops would auto-reject the file. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
When a file is converted to .swf prior to being added to the game, there are two ways of doing so. One way is fairly fast and convenient, but is incapable of converting files with stops. The second method of conversion can handle stops but is a more long-winded process. Overall it's a matter of convenience. We don't get many files with stops anyhow, so it should hopefully not inconvenience many users.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
fair enough, thanks
I have a chart in the works (so I probably will never finish it) where I was gonna have a couple hundred stops but I'll do it as BPM changes I guess

now my judging periods don't have to stop because I'm too lazy to move a file from DDream to SM because I need to see it with stops (although, tbh: a SM converter needs to be made because DWI is primitive and it inconveniences both DDream users and SM5 users). |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
Submission Cap definition was changed due to submission system change.
[Submission Cap by Simfile Artist Point] Maximum number of files you can submit in a period (2 months): (1)Jan-Feb, (2)Mar-Apr, (3)May-Jun, (4)Jul-Aug, (5)Sep-Oct, (6)Nov-Dec Negative pts - 1 0-9pts - 2 10-16pts - 3 17-39pts - 4 40pts or more - 5 For example, if you have 12 SAP then you can submit maximum 3 files in May-June period. After Jul, you can submit 3 more files. Also, when the judgement is done and your SAP/Submission Cap is increased, you can submit more files in the next period. |
