Why did I miss-analysis
Long story short, set the autofail to one good, play a song and you will fail out.
What I would love to know is if I hit early or late. Ideas: -Visual replay of the note that caused the autofail. -Have some sort of a shadow to show where you hit and where you should have hit. -Perhaps a simple "two frames early" or "three frames late" indicator box.

Re: Why did I miss-analysis
You could save your replay after and watch it...

Re: Why did I miss-analysis
windsurfer's idea is very similar to beatmania IIDX's practice mode where it shows the note you've hit as a ghost note and the actual note being the one you're supposed to hit on time. It gives you an idea of how early or late you've hit the note.
This could be helpful for FFR for sure, but I don't know how that can be accomplished. @remedy: sketchy at best and it's not as easy to determine If this idea is implemented, it might also be nice to see if a scrolling of the chart can be complemented as well. (e.g. KBO's replays) |

Re: Why did I miss-analysis
Not sure if its doable, just want to put the idea out there. The velocity engine is amazing and gives hope for an even better engine. This could be part of it.
@Remedy: I have tried the replay option. In my replay the one note I got a good on looked to be the most on time.... Which lead me to hitting earlier and better accuracy. Still the idea of the game saying: You are two frames late tells me I need to hit earlier. Imagine every time you hit a good its always because your two frames late, soon enough you learn to hit early, even learning when you are hitting toooo early. All of a sudden your PA is just like blam. Admittedly anyone who can AAA anything already can do this, I have never mastered it. And its not from a lack of trying
