I think synths cat got up on the keyboard and acidently logged in, went to the admin panel, went to where you enter that in, then typed it, and pressed submit.

Synth wouldn't do something like that.

I went from the home page (when it said "Even Nearer") to the forum back to the homepage (when it said "One Step Closer") in like 30 seconds, so I'm assuming I was in the first 5 people to see it =D

Well One Step Closer could be close and also distant. It could also mean that another section of R2 is completed, or it could be to get us happy for a day or two.
