Also it'd be neat if the text would show over the enormous coloured blobs.

Finally got around to playing the songs

D1 - D3 surprisingly fun as hell. Really enjoy the D3 chart. Minus the (seemingly) random minijack. But since it's a common thing now days I can't really say I'm surprised anymore.

D4: Looking at it, I thought it was be a good chart. I'm sad to say I'm now slightly happy I don't have to whore this chart. Because it's a lot more, eh, than it looked.

D5: Fun but it has a few lols in it. One of the higher end JX charts for sure though.

D6: I have only two Flashbulb songs on my Ipod. Chik Habit, and Amen Iraq. This chart is honestly... Eh. Iironiic's best chart so far if you ask me, but I wouldn't say I like it much.

Just my random little thoughts. I cut down D1-D3 cause there's not to much to say besides pretty surprising how... Good... They were.

It seems to me like this round is like D1-D3 = Fun charts and D4-D6 = technical > Fun charts. But eh.

On a related note, it's completely finished.

Side values are now standardized at 35 being max NPS, unless the song goes above that.
(The highest NPS is Death Piano at 33, and vrofl at 88)

O, and I've added it to the game pages now.

Honestly the only song that I like this round is D4's

D3's is too slow/uninteresting most of the time

D5 seems just off
D6 isn't my style
D1/2 i'm indifferent on

Is it just me, or are the maximum NPSs* not really reflected in the graphs? For example, if the above Crowdpleaser graph's maximum NPS is 25, the maxima of the difficulty peak barely pokes above 21.

*is it possible the minimum NPS may also not reflect the true minimum due to lack of notes at beginning and ending of songs? Or is the NPS determined from the first note to the last note?

35 NPS for the default MAX is the best choice, gj.

Alright, so let's go for some moar noob feedback:

Division 1: Transparent White.

Aw, D1 have had really nice songs so far! ^^ I loved that chart as well. The beginning was a bit weird if you ask me, but necessary, because you get into the song progressively, as the step start getting really really fun! I'll definitely play it a few times again!

Even though it's a 6, D1 shouldn't have too many problems with this file! It's also pretty convenient to work with!

This is also one of the few songs with repetitive patterns in which it's not a bother (Damn that D4 song from round 1! Curse you Dossar!)

The song itself is pretty cool. It's nice, sweet and relaxing. The chart itself only enhances this feeling. Good job (as always), mr. Silvuh!

Division 2: Ochisukeruwakenaiwayo! [Standard].

Ha! Finally a great file for D2! Nah, actually asterisk from round 2 was nice, but I had some problems with the chart. But since this cool little song was taken care of by mr. Jimerax, I knew it would be something nice. I mean, we're talking about the man who stepped Final Fantasy Last Battle Festival.

The song, like I said above, is pretty cool and really well steppable. Jimerax's steps are just brilliant. It's a solid 8, but it has great patterns that are complex on a very comfortable level. As I type this, I have yet to AAA it, but it sure will come soon, as I'm far from tired of playing this level.

Just great. It's all have I have to say. It's not as good as Glorious Morning simply because Glorious Morning was a better song, but the steps are equivalent.

We also got the best song from this round. Or so, but tied with D3's.

Division 3: Night Walker.

Lulz at the beginning trills.

Hey h19h19, why did you step this? xD

Anyway, It's a cool one, it feels empty though. It sure is a 9, but... I dunno. Lacks content. It sure has really fun streams, but I guess the beginning should have been more layered. The metronomic playing was meh. It only got epic at the streams, which have been perfectly charted in my opinion.

h19h19, as far as you're my favorite stepartist on FFR, I don't think that this lived up to what you can do. It's a really great file, but doesn't live up at all to your legacy. =D You could have done better.

Anyway, D3 will have fun. It's kinda an easy 9 so they shouldn't have too much problems, and the streams are even PAable by indexers as well. Good job still, better than a bunch of Challenging files out there at least.

Division 4: Finder

Ahahaha, there again, they go rude with D4. Anyway, as D4 got the tightest competition imo, it's a pretty good thing.

The rolls are just ass. I wonder how D4ers will AAA that shit. They give the feeling of... A high end Venetian Snares song. Or something. The rest of the file is ok, and the minijacks aren't that much of a threat for goods. But even then, it's a low end VC. At least, it's how I feel about it.

The song isn't that much interesting but it was definitely steppable. The job done on the chart is... Meh. Could have been better but I don't see any major reason why this shouldn't have been released. And I dunno how differently I would have stepped that. It's meh, but ok. Not a favorite in any way.

Division 5: 0 (piano version).

Hmmm. First of all, it's still easier than Ambient Angels, lol.

Again, work of Jimerax here = Perfect job.

It's pretty sweet, but as far as the song, I wish there was an arrangement behind it or a more complex structure. It feels a bit too staccato'ish and well... It's not a pleasing effect. It's rude.

But the song apart (She bangs exists, so **** the song =D), the stepfile is cool to play. The jumpstream'ish thing that appears twice in the song doesn't flow and that's a pretty good thing, since it goes along with the unbuffered feel of the song. To some extent, this level is pretty enjoyable, mainly because of that, but whatever. It's tastefully complex too. Props to Jimerax again. Your chart are teh boss, super admin.

Division 6: Amen Iraq.

D6 is officially the "Wtf'ish songs" division in my books from now on. This chart is just absurd, once again. (Oh damn, that Kono Spoon!)

iironiic did a good job stepping this. It poses a great challenge without going over the top. I think he exploited this song to its very limit and it's a good thing. It's just one of those high quality high-end FMOs again.

This one also has a Venetian Snares feel. Which isn't a good thing.

It may be their worst song so far, but I'm pretty sure D6'ers will love playing this one. I don't have the necessary playing skill and experience to back this up, so I have to admit that it's only a personnal feeling. I'm curious to read other players' feedback about it (because some of them, namely Halogen or OWA, keep track of their feelings about the songs on their profiles. Check them out, it's pretty cool to read out).

Oh, and it's the only one that can get stuck in your head. Trust me, there's a 2 second loop that WILL stay up in your head if you play through this even once, lol.

Endnote.

Great, first round to have only cool files!

It's interesting to see that D1 and D6 are the division that get the funniest files. ^^

I'd also like feedback on my evaluations, I'm growing a liking for doing this (=D) and I've had some positive comments from other users, namely bmah and Reuben_Tate. I'm planning to do this for every round, so I'd like to know what you guys would like to read from a lower levelled player's thought.

Good round everyone! Keep the competition tight, it enhances the fun factor! >=)
