Kansas City Meetup - Summer 2007
We need another meetup on FFR, and I want it to be one I can attend. Here's what I have in mind.
We have this meetup next spring. Yes, one year from now. Spring Break most likely. People have different spring breaks, so there's a chance this will be held in Summer 2007. IT WILL NOT BE THIS SUMMER BECAUSE I CANNOT DRIVE YET We can have other meetups before this but, if you can only go to one meetup for some reason, let it be this one. More people will show up. Location: In the center of the country, Kansas City? St. Louis? Springfield MO? Maybe somewhere else. I'd much rather have it in Kansas City, where I'm at. If Kansas City, I'd want to tribute SOMETHING for having it somewhere where I don't have to drive for hours to get to. I'm willing to let as many as 5 people stay at my house during this meetup. It could be for one or two nights, it could be for the duration of the entire meetup. I can let different people stay here too, I don't care. Someone will probably say something like: "Surely your parents wouldn't let a bunch of people from different parts of the country (maybe) spend the night at your house." Well, Izzy lives 30 miles away from me in a different state, my parents have never met him and he's stayed the night at my house before. It can happen. Izzy might also be able to let some people stay at his house, I'll have to talk to him about that. I'm sure you guys would like to not have to pay $60 a night for somewhere to sleep. How long?: I'm thinking at least 3 days. 6 at the most. It doesn't matter to me. What do you guys think about this? Yes? No? Last edited by Rebirth0; 10-27-2006 at 08:22 PM.. |

Re: Huge Meetup? - Gathering Opinions
Why don't you just have one in the summer, since most people's spring break aren't the same. Plus, I'm sure someone could drive you.

Re: Huge Meetup? - Gathering Opinions
I said having it in the summer is a possibility. I just wouldn't want to have it 14 - 15 months from now.
Getting someone to drive me to a meetup wouldn't happen for a few years probably. I'm only 15 rofl |

Re: Huge Meetup? - Gathering Opinions
Which is why I'm giving people a place to stay for free. I want it to be the people that have to travel the farthest.

Re: Huge Meetup? - Gathering Opinions
Since I'm new, I know most people don't know me, but if this thing gets serious I could drive and possible pick up some people(depending on where this thing takes place).

Re: Huge Meetup? - Gathering Opinions
You know, I might actually be able to make this, but it would have to be a family vacation. I don't mind, as long as there are alot of people there... Over 15.
Oh, and I was thinking about having another Texas Togethering. I need to talk to Omega, but he hasn't been around for a while. |

Re: Huge Meetup? - Gathering Opinions
I dont care if people stay at my house. People just hate me. I have a very large pool so we could have a pool party. I would probably have my lisence this summer so id rather do it then. But i can wait as long as next year i guess.

Re: Huge Meetup? - Gathering Opinions
Actually, if we did it here in Kansas City...we could do it this summer. I would just need a ride =/
With people staying at my house, I could get a ride. |

LD--take the train to Trenton (surely you have enough money to get to NY Penn Station and from there to the end of the line?) and Tass and I will drive you. If we go.

If it's next year, we can do it in the Mideast. If we do it this year it's in Kansas City, and a bunch of people get a place to sleep for free.
