Default Potential "mini-world finals"/ FFR meet-up?

There's going to be an ITG tournament in Toronto, Canada coming up on September 16th, but this is turning out to be a much bigger tournament than what I thought it would be.

http://www.rgcanada.com/viewtopic.php?t=3735

Apparently the $800 grand prize has attracted a tons of the best players from parts even way outside of Toronto. (Pickles, BarX, Lilq, Damien, JJsz, DDRdemon, Dman, Duk Amok, etc. are among some of the people that will probably be there) This may turn out to be some real heavy competition.

Another interesting thing is that there will probably be a lot of people from FFR there as well. Me, Nima, Anuj, luc-marceau, Duk, and smashman are some of the people who are/thinking of coming from FFR.

What do you guys think? Would anyone else want to come from here?

FFR'ers coming: (*=maybe)

- TehWhack
- Luc Marceau
- White_boy
- Anuj
- Tokzic
- xDdRmAnIaCx
- Nima*
- Church_pk*
- Freak83*
- smashman*
- DukAmok*

awesome. You guys could win this. Who is considered to be the best in this tourney? I don't know much about ITG at all.

The best bet is with either Pickles, Damien, LilQ, or Duk.

Pickles is not going to win because he can't hold up to the bar players. Mark my words.

LilQ won the Roxor National Tournament for ITG2. Damien won the Roxor World Tournament, but technically, LilQ should have won because of a pad miss. It doesn't really matter in Europe, though, so Damien won. Whatever.

I'd love to go, but LilQ already won. He lives in my area, so it's really no treat. Oh, and it's far and nobody from FFR will show up anyway. Michigan Meetup fell through when everybody bailed out, and LD was planning it. I don't see a better situation here, unfortunately.

I guess you're out of the loop now-adays Chardish :P

Pickles uses the bar AND mods for Expert now to keep up with the competitive edge. He already has 8 quad-stars on Expert and nearly a Tri-star on EUPHORIA!!! He also said that he can now beat Damien on a lot of songs. Considering he's improving on bar play so fast I'd expect him to to probably win it all by the time the tourney comes.

@Whiteboy: Yes, Anuj is coming, but Nima isn't sure yet.

@Nforcer: This shouldn’t be a formal meet-up, I'm just saying the opportunity is there because people are already going from FFR and others can join in if they want.

meh, I still think that Damien or LilQ would have the edge... Just because Pickles is good on one song doesn't make him the best in the world =P

Don't you keep in touch with the accomp. thread? He's CLAIMS that he's good at way more songs than just Euporia, Xuxa, his quad-stars, and Zodiac. And even though that recent monolith score isn't the best it's still pretty damn good.

I'm just on the fence now with Pickles' secrecy.... is he as good as he says he is or just not ready to stack up with everyone else. :\

You do realize that Pickles isn't the only one whose keeping their scores a secret... Right? If you knew some of LilQ's better scores, you'd know exactly what I meant by "Pickles doesn't stand a chance"

Sure, Kevbo has a chance for sure, he's really really up there... Adamstyles is good, but not that insane compared to Kevbo and LilQ

If I had a license, I might be interested, even if it's just to learn what I need to do to get respect around here.

Dude.

I told you I can't go.

I have no way to get there at all and I don't have a cent to my name.

I would love to go but it's just not possible.

lol you guys remind me of DDR Freak, silly kids.

yeah mike definitely lost over a pad miss. do you even know what you're talking about? he's the only person getting pad faults in that entire tournament. and the final song was robotix, 15 to 19. definitely the pad's fault. Honestly, until you actually know what you're talking about and I've actually even heard of you, don't bother saying anything.

Kevin hasn't played in over a year. He's good at harder stuff, not the easy stuff. We could eaaaaasily pick the other 115 songs we're better at =P

I played on his machine a day before we left, trust me, he's not hiding anything from the day he deleted his GS =P

Hush up there I'm about the same age as you.

Also, I can't seem to get a hold of freak83 or Jello because I know they live in TO, and it would be interesting to meet them.
