Re: Tsukihime
Ugh...you know, I wouldn't really advise playing that. I'd say just stick with Melty Blood.

Re: Tsukihime
Tsukihime currently costs 100-300 dollars to buy. It's not in print anymore, so you'll have to buy it from a Japanese auction site.
So, no, it's probably not going to be legal. Unless you feel like paying some random Japanese dude hundreds of dollars for a game published in 2000. Copies should be easy to... "acquire," however. And, of course, if you choose not to remove the sex scenes, the game is technically 18+. I wouldn't recommend removing them, simply because I don't like the idea of changing the author's original vision. Of course, if your computer is in a public place, or you have some other objection to the sex scenes (they are rather poorly written compared to the rest of the game), Mirror Moon's patch has an option to remove all of them. I only know one person who's played the non-ero version, but he says that there are no real changes to the plot in it. Anyway, legality is overrated, eh? |

Quote:
Melty Blood is a fighting game based on it. It does have a story mode, but A. it's not currently translated, and B. it's not considered canon. Melty Blood is quite fun, but there's no reason to not play Tsukihime because of it. In fact, I've found that Melty Blood is even more enjoyable after playing Tsukihime, because I understand the characters and their circumstances now. So, I'm afraid I don't understand what you're saying. Unless you just hate to read, or something. Tsukihime does have QUITE a bit of reading. |
