I'll explain what I meant.

I have severe stamina issues - I quit out of a lot of files just because I get so damn tired so quickly. TOML is easy initially (I can AAA the first jumpstream consistently), but by the time a minute passes, I've often quit out from pain and exhaustion. It's all a matter of luck as to whether I can even hit the majority of notes coming at me after that point. If I get lucky and do, I always exceed 85 million. Otherwise, it's usually about 80-81 million, or possibly even 79.5 or so.

Yesssss could pass stuff like MSWGO because he had so much endurance. I'm mostly all accuracy (which is true, since many of my MA scores beat the average spread players), but I usually have to grind my way through files like TOML just to pass it. If I'm doing good on a specific night and I'm not tired, then an A is possible - but I have to not be physically tired at all to do so - if I play TOML more than 3 or so times in a row, then it's an accomplishment just to pass.

You should make some files that are short and hard, then.

But then nobody would recognize them. Part of the effect garnered from posting scores is how well it's known, and unless it's in a pack at the very least, any effect put into it would likely be in vain.

Just release your own pack of hard files.

ha, I just had this really crazy idea.

I'm going to step every Sharpnel song out at the moment, then release them all in a pack.

My guess is that it won't go over too well. I'm a pretty good stepper, nobody knows though, so that is a disadvantage.

I wont be a rival until I get a better keyboard, and a better video card. And when that happens give it a week and my skill will jump through the roof.

Current Handicaps:
DragMiss (Miss any accidental 3rd note press)
Very Heavy Outset Keys (Not Flat)
2 key press max (No Hands or Quads)
Bad frame rate & lag spikes (Not a serious issue, but will allow improvement)

Edit:
New Top One Handers List Idea
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • -Four specific songs from each difficulty level.
  • -Can choose any of those songs to base your score off of. (4 Max)
  • -Each difficulty is worth it's level in points. (Ex. Lv. 1 is worth 1 point, while level 7 is worth 7)
  • -Song types will include: Stream, Complex, Jazz, Stamina.
    • --Stream: Notes ocuring one after the other in a speedy fasion with little to no variations.
    • --Complex: Jumps, Stream, awkward timing.
    • --Jazz: Multi-coloured rolls, improvised feel, complex patterns.
    • --Stamina: Ridiculously Long Songs, with somewhat simple patterns that wear you out.
  • -Add the points together, theres your score. Sort by number of points.

What songs would you count as "complex", because I really can't think of anything.

While this seems like a pretty good idea, very, very few people are actually going to participate in that. Plus, some people may just naturally be really bad at a song and be unable to score well, despite it not being indictive of their overall skill level. Plus, how many people could you get to actually participate?

Trust me, I've got my own issues.

-No hand/quad support
-Severe lack of stamina
-Can't hit up-down jumps with 1 finger, issue is compounded by inability to hit 3+ keys at once

Of course, I've still gotten really good anyways, so I could just put up with your problems as much as you can until you can fix them. Also, play Stepmania.

Yeah, I can't really say I have it worse than you. You just played every day, while I quit after the summer finished. :P

As for my idea.
It doesn't need to be well attended. If someone wants to be ranked on the list we get them to play the songs. Or if they're already a one hander, we simply go look at their level ranks.

Easy, and effective. As for being ****ty at a certain song. Too ****ing bad, get better at it. If you've got a mental block on a song, break it. :P

I can only hit two hands combinations;

left, down, right
down, up, right

pretty weird to hit some hands then have to roll the others.

Most keyboards support that specific combination on the arrow keys.
