Secret of Mana.

Multiplayer, came first, better story line, cooler magic, cooler weapons, Flammie, Thanatos, Mana Beast.

Secret of Evermore's got a cool dog.

Don't get me wrong, I spent countless hours on both games but Secret of Mana is just better.

There's a forum just for video game discussion, make topics there next time.

well they are both games, and thats why i made this forum, i like evermore because the last boss has so many forms, and you dont have to summon characters in order to use magic, as well as the main character is both a white and black mage.

Mana however has 3 characters! I used to have a SNES, but now I am playing both on my ZSNES emulator, so I cant really use multiplayer, but if anybody knows how to, PLEASE TELL ME!!!

Which is why this should have gone into the General Video Games forum (where this thread is, now). Media's forum description says nothing about games.

the SOM magic system was severely flawed, and so was the incredibly stupid AI. Decent game though.

I started SOM 2 awhile ago, and quit because my controller broke but now I'm playing it again. They seemed to have fixed the AI and the battle system, and overall it appears as a far superior game (so far). It's called seiken densetsu 3 I think if you want to pick it up for the emulator.

Personally I prefer SoM because the weapon system in Evermore is horribly broken. You have to level up each weapon individually - you can't just level up "swords" or "axes."

Evermore has a better plot, though. And a more interesting world. SoM's plot is horribly cliched.

also, REACH, seiken densetsu 3 is the sequal to Secret of Mana, so they are not the exact same game. In fact, Secret of Mana is the sequal to Final Fantasy Advanture, and if u wikipedia Secret of Mana, they tell u all this

Now can somebody please tell me how to do multiplayer with ZSNES?

I think he realizes it's the sequel, seeing as how he called it SoM 2.

And since you're so keen on "wikipedia"ing things, why don't you try Googling multiplayer on ZSNES. I can't remember which emulators do multiplayer, all I remember is that when I tried to do it it seemed like too much effort for everybody involved, so I gave up on it.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O
